Glen v Ramor was a cracker today, Glen just about doing enough. Crossmaglen impressive, the two O Neil lads look special.

Would Danny Tallon still be the danger man up front for Glen?

Derry were a massive disappointment yesterday, either they are a poor enough side or they just under performed?. I was looking forward to seeing this Glass lad but he was very quiet and to be honest Derry had no players of note. They were never in the game and apart from a fluke goal they really struggled to score.
Kerry are decent but wouldn't be a patch on last years team that won the AI.

6. The Tiernan McCann incident – now this is my opinion on it and again I will be as objective as possible. My honest opinion is that Hughes was going to receive a black card for the pull down on Colm Cavanagh as he was coming out of defence. Marty Duffy has clearly pulled his book out of his pocket as he walks over to Hughes and before Hughes touched McCann. Hughes had already received a yellow card so Yellow + Black = Red. He was already going to be sent off before he touched Tiernan McCann. Until the referee's report comes out we won't know what he was sent off for. What happened afterwards has been debated to the high heavens here. I don't believe that Tiernan McCann is proud of his actions, in fact I suspect he will be embarrassed by them and it is something that will probably follow him around until he either does something spectacular or has a long and distinguished career with Tyrone (although seeing how the Philip Jordan/Marsden incident has had an effect of Jordan's legacy, I can't see this incident being forgotten about, and rightly so). It was a poor reflection on our games, not just in Tyrone, but all over Ireland and the world. Tiernan McCann will learn. However, and I am in no way justifying his actions or giving any standing to them, the unfortunate thing is, he was not the first and he most certainly won't be the last to feign injury in the attempt to get an opposition player reprimanded – this is where the real problem lies.

Amalgamations shouldn't be allowed in this tournament. Simple as that. I'm sure some of the Fermanagh and Monaghan clubs have a very limited pick. Hope Cross beat Southern Gaels.
What a load of horse shite!!
Amalgamations are part and parcel of the GAA just look at the Kerry senior championship if you need some evidence.
-There are many clubs that cannot field 15-20 players at an age level should they just be kicked out of all competitions then?
- Some clubs have a huge town or pick from versus some small rural parishes. In the example above, an amalgamation of Lacken and Gowna would still not have a quarter the pick of say Cavan Gaels. Yet you would ban Southern Gaels and allow Cavan Gaels compete?
- The Cavan minor entrants in this tournament have not fared that well in the past, whether one club or an amalgamation. We only hear the whinging when they have the audacity to beat a Tyrone Team.
- I'm not sure of Fermanagh but there have certainly been Amalgamations in Monaghan although I am sure poor wee Monaghan would be grateful for the pity from a super power like Derry.
The only caveat I would have is the abuse of the amalgamations. As hard station said there was one ridiculous case in Cavan in the past. Unfortunately it is up to County boards to make sure the piss is not taken by some clubs. That been said Southern Gaels are certainly not taking the piss and are a genuine amalgamation and I hope they go on to do well in the tournament.

that pic tickle ends the debate. Certain goal.
This picture was taken at the warm up and in any case the ball wasn't over the line.
During the warm up?
Really?

Its only in Ulster where its 18 & half. As Northern schools are an extra year in schools, transition year is optional for southern schools.
When it goes to Hogan Cup level its u18 and some Northern teams lose players who would be over that limit

It's dead peoples body parts, why anyone would want to keep their organs rather than donate them is beyond me. When you die, your organs could either save the lives of people, including children, or become maggot food. There isn't a choice as far as I can see.
Its not a simple as you are making out.
My father died when he was 42, I was 17 and the oldest of 5 children (the youngest was 1). He was on a life support machine in the hospital when we where told he had no chance and asked would we be intrested in donating his organs. For a number of reasons the decision was left to me and I agreed that it would be a comfort to know that in his death that Daddy had helped save the lives of other people. It was then explained to me that the Doctors would have to keep him on the life support machine for another 4/5 days until everything was in place to carry out the procedures. At that stage I just wanted him home and told the doctors that if they could do it that day I would agree but if not I wanted him home now. The Doctors tried to talk to me and tell me how this decision could impact other peoples lives but neither my family or I could have coped with the wait. I often think about the decision I made and I know it was selfish but i believe it was the right decision in the circumstances.
I registered shortly after this as a organ donor so that no one ever is put in position I found myself in if anything ever happens me.

Can Glen do the 3-in-a-row?
