Arsene gets criticised for not buying enough after a poor result, puts the word out Arsenal are going after a few big names, the results pick up then the fans settle down and still no transfers are made then Arsenal plod along in 4th again.

He was a good un but has only made 5 appearances in 2 years. Bad knee injury. He is exactly what Arsenal need though if he can re-find his form from when he played with Cesc.

Just considering how great the Arse made average players look. Flamini, Hleb, i'd even add Nasri. There is a host of others whom they sold for 20 odd million and went to piss afterwards. Even Cesc has not reached the preformances of his Arsenal days.

Any others I'm missing out on? Van Persie, Cole and Henry are some of the few I can think of who lived up to there reputation.

I'm not slighting arsenal, I'm just thinking of Flamini returning on a free compared to the player he once was.
