Quote from: Donagh on November 19, 2009, 01:20:40 PMI did not threaten O'Neill, I respectfully asked him to clarify two comments he muttered out of the corner of his mouth on two different threads – coincidently with remarks very similar to those you have been making. Given his history on here I believe he could be trusted to discuss something rationally though any respect I had for him has been seriously diminished.

Firstly Donagh could you explain the highlighted bit for me? How does someone actually mutter out of the corner of his mouth on an internet discussion board?

Are you now backing down from Shane?
Quote from: Donagh on November 19, 2009, 01:02:50 AMHowever, you're acting there like you have some information on me ONeill. If you want to be taken seriously, spit it out into the open, even better how about relaying it back to my face? Otherwise take your adolescent behaviour back to your classroom where it may be appreciated.

On a side note Donagh my lunch break is almost over, so unlike Sinn Fein dole scum like yourself I may not be available to reply immediately. If I get a chance later this afternoon I`ll check in to have a look at your ramblings.  ;)
As another poster has already said could you try to keep this thread on topic, if you want to start a thread on the hypocricy of todays republican movement please do so. This thread is the "Official FAI Thread", Ireland is a foreign country to the likes of you.  ;)

Finished season 3 late last night. Excellent stuff. The Wire just gets better and better. I started watching the wire on BBC2 after reading this thread, sadly I missed the first two series and most of the third. Its all makes sense now, getting into something half way through you never really get to know the characters, so I am glad I was able to see it from the start.
I didn't like Omar, but then again I didn't know him. His performance in the courtroom in series 2 was fantastic. He made the lawyer look like a fool and managed to win over both the judge and the jury. He plays by his own rules, I just wish I didn't know what happens to him now.
I was delighted to see Stringer get his comeuppance, I was gutted when he had D. Barksdale killed. D was a great character with a heart of gold.
I really enjoyed Series 4 first time round, I am sure I`ll enjoy it as much this time. Normally when I have seen something before I wouldn't bother to watch it again, but with The Wire you seem to notice so much more the second time. This has to be the best TV ever.

Strange thing is, while watching series 1, I realised I had seen a bit of one of the episodes. I had watched about 15 minutes of the episode where D. Barksdale gets arrested and decided it wasn't for me. How wrong was I?

Arent they hoping to make hurls out of the ash trees, or did I make that up?

I think there has only been 1 tree planted to date, though I could be wrong. Ziggy mentioned something about that alright.

What did the minors win in 2003?
Wether they went or not, I still dont agree with it. There is no need for any team to go to Stormont. Its as pointless as planting ash trees next to Carsons statue.

Any more updates on Windows 7? Considering upgrading but want to make sure laptop will still work fine with iPhone etc etc.

If you chose that student option, is it just a download or do you get a hard copy of it?

No real issues as such. Its definitely faster, but its not all its hyped up to be in my opinion. I am one of the few who had no issues with Vista.
You get the hard copy with the student option.

You mentioned 2003, 2005 and 2008. You do realise that counties were winning All Irelands long before then and none of us saw the need to go running to Stormont.

Shes not exactly £300 an hour material, more of a ten to twoer, but each to their own.

They definitely were not there in 2003, 2005 or 2008.

Right enough football was only invented in 2003.

I think we all understand what he is saying, but dis-engagement would only serve to make Stormont a protestant parliament for a protestant people.

Is that not what it is anyway?

I agree with O'Bradaigh to a certain extent, but should sport and politics not be kept apart? There is no need to go traipsing up to Stormont with Sam Maguire or any trophy for that matter. Maybe I am wrong but you dont see the Kerry team running to the Dail every year.

Is it possible to find out how many season tickets have been sold so far?

Still no reply from Croke Park regarding the extra €50.

Veteran actor Edward Woodward has died aged 79, his agent has confirmed.

The Croydon-born star had been suffering from various illnesses including pneumonia and died in hospital, said Janet Glass.

Woodward is most famous for his roles in cult 1973 horror film The Wicker Man, alongside Christopher Lee, and US TV series The Equalizer.

He was last seen on screen in BBC One soap EastEnders as Tommy Clifford earlier this year.

I can't believe that the DCB were so detached from reality to think that that ever had the remotest chance of flying (well, maybe I can believe it). To have presented something that costs 67% more than the equivalent for all the other counties as the only option (regardless of the add-ons) smacks of arrant arrogance mixed copiously with sheer stupidity.

You Down folk can now stand back and savour the discussions of shame  ;)

I couldn't have described Sean og better myself.  :D
