Another half to play however Leeds United have  more or less sealed a place in Championship play off final. Who would they Leeds United prefer in the final Southampton or West Brom?

Quote from: Captain Obvious on Today at 03:54:33 PMCan anyone from Dublin tell me why Ciarán Archer who would be around 24 now hasn't made the step up to Dublin senior team and is he even on the panel at the moment?

A talented player but don't think he better than what on panel now. Quality freetaker but for me doesn't do enough from play  and without the ball. He was on senior panel in 2022 but picked up an injury and never got back in.

A few of the forwards on the Dublin panel at the moment Ross McGarry,Killian O'Gara,Lorcan O'Dell,Killian McGinnis. He must have fallen back a fair bit from his days standing out at U20 level if not better than some of them now.

Quote from: imtommygunn on Today at 03:27:34 PMThey make you work to find them!!

CS I'm an antrim man. We'd a good win against Tipp though they did give us a few problems which was worrying. I think Sligo might be too much for us so Wexford a big game for us. It is 2 go through and not 3 right?? (3 going through in a 4 team group like the sam maguire is ridiculous).

Only two in one group as doesn't New York take the place of the worst 3rd placed team?

As seen with the Super 8s two into the knock out stages means more dead rubber round 3 group games.

Quote from: Keyser soze on May 15, 2024, 01:53:39 PMNo version of Derry has ever beaten Galway in championship, you can be sure that will be a factor on saturday.

Janey, even Armagh has beaten Galway.

Derry wans trying their hand at the cute hoorism here? Sure Derry were in the big three talk with Dublin and Kerry not just a few weeks ago.

Conversation of the big three talk will be back on should Derry win this weekend.  A win will put them in the box seat to top the group and then perhaps talking on a Mayo,Tyrone or Monaghan in the last eight tie that they'll be expected to win.  Should Dublin play Kerry in one semi final you could be looking at All Ireland final spot for Derry yet.

If we beat Galway with a depleted side undoubtedly those conversations will happen in the media.
But if we get beaten in the manner we did against Donegal - regardless of team on the field, the talk will be of the wheels coming off in the media.
Fine lines between being top 3 and an also ran in the media sphere.
I'd love to win, but if we lose I'm more interested in a good performance as 2 bad ones in a row will do nothing for confidence.

You beat Galway in Salthill with this team by a bit to spare a few months ago.

Ryan Scullion; Diarmuid Baker, Chrissy McKaigue, Conor McCluskey; Conor Doherty, Eoin McEvoy, Padraig McGrogan; Conor Glass (captain), Brendan Rogers; Ethan Doherty, Ciarán McFaul, Paul Cassidy; Niall Loughlin, Shane McGuigan, Declan Cassidy.

Subs: Niall Toner for Conor Doherty inj. (35), Donnacha Gilmore for Declan Cassidy (50), Lachlan Murray for Loughlin (56), Eunan Mulholland for Paul Cassidy (65).

Other than Padraig McGrogan who will be missing for Derry this weekend?

When the Tailteann Cup was first brought in many journalist and pundits said it would stop one sided games? of course that proved to be nonsense as will always be one sided games.  Meanwhile Munster and Leinster finals were meant to be whitewash wins for Kerry,Dublin so credit to Louth and Clare for giving a good account of themselves.

Nothing I said on this thread today was made up.  As Liverpool supporter you need to accept that Klopp's men allowed this league title slip through their fingers than letting it rattle you.

After all that hard work over the last 2/3 months and it backfires on you in spectacular fashion.
No hard work to call things are they are and I had no involvement in Liverpool letting another Premier League title slip through their fingers.

2 covers? Covers should be banned IMO!

Rape Me

SLTS

What's wrong with covers?  Majority of Elvis Presley songs was covers.

My three would be

Lithium
Smells Like Teen Spirit
Come As You Are (including the haunting lyric "I don't have a gun")

@trueblue1234 Best to save your pity for Jurgen Klopp who was on course for a perfect send off which would have been the first league title for Liverpool to pick up in front of a full Anfield for 34 years, a 3rd place finish is no consolation to that

Quote from: trueblue1234 on May 13, 2024, 02:35:00 PMT,is nearly as bad as being 4 points up with a quarter of a game to go and somehow throwing it away. How Armagh managed to orgestrate that level of a collapse is remarkable. Surely one of the biggest bottle jobs in Ulster history.

No where near as bad. Ulster title not won with a penalty shootout and up against a favourite Donegal side with their messiah back leading them. Liverpool on the otherhand dropped points against number of sides they should be beating comfortably over the last few weeks.

When Manchester City pick up the league title next weekend Klopp and his players will know it should have been them instead.
