The offside isn't black and white though. In very, very, marginal cases which they tend to disallow there is a margin of error which means the technology could be wrong.

They are implementing as asked though and to disallow the wolves goal was correct as it was consistent with the decisions var has made the rest of the season.

Imo make it clear and obvious for offside and it's fine.

Ok it is actually 120 FPS. Same point applies with better odds for var...

It is not accurate to the millimetre which when you are making judgments to the millimetre seems kind of flawed. It is just plain wrong really. I was reading in cricket, true or not idk, that if the decision is too close for technology to call then the original decision stands. That makes sense to me.

I don't think it is... if it's a 50 FPS camera then how can they be sure of the exact time of the through ball unless it is played exactly on a frame which is more unlikely than likely?

Is the time the ball is played at precise? If it's not then I would say the lines don't matter.

There was a league table I saw today on with net scores on teams benefit from it. It was actually tweeted by stevie McDonnell.

Interesting reading.

As correct as it can be means it isn't one hundred percent. For marginal offside calls it shouldn't be used.

VAR got both decisions spot on.

The offside rule should be changed though to give more advantage to the attacking team. Mane had a great header ruled out a couple of games ago for being a centimetre offside.

I think the offside was wrong but var seems to have unintentionally redefined offside rules so the attacker doesn't have the advantage. In the context of how var works it was correct(and this has counted against Liverpool this season too) and for consistency I don't see how they change that mid season anyway.

Var is a bag of shite though in general.

The funds are there. I think something like this needed done for a statement. How long he lasts etc we will see. Strong rumours about ibrahomivic coming as he is ancelotti's mate. I hope not though at least would maybe give some more clout in the transfer market.

Men against boys so far. Leicester being made look very poor.

That said... it's only 1-0. Liverpool would need a second, because Leicester are bound to get better in the second and have a chance or two.

Some cross and finish for the goal.

To be fair everyone goes on about Liverpool's fixture pile-up but Leicester have a small (main) squad and they have been very busy lately with a League Cup game that went to extra time and a tough encounter against City.

I think the league cup was penalties after ninety minutes.

Arnold some player.

It's percentages etc. Recycle possession until you have a high percentage chance of scoring rather than a thirty to forty yard shot where a wide is a decent chance. There are probably more players can take the scores than do. It's just the direction of the game sadly.

It's a risk thing as much as ability sometimes.

Sorry I meant the joe McD.

Yep fully agree - it has been a fantastic competition. For too long teams around our level have been left winning easy one day and getting annihilated the next. Works well and definitely something the Gaa have got right.

:D I agree with being positive but we are a bit off the level of the top few teams in the Christy ring so to me we aren't going to win it and thinking that is unrealistic imo but we would want to maybe take a scalp of a bigger team and also not be fighting relegation on the last day. That would be success.
