Scallops are a very delicate fish. They require very little cooking & will generally absorb the flavour of whatever they are cooked in or with, as they don't have much flavour of their own. They go perfectly with a very good olive oil & some garlic. They are very easy to fcuk up and over cook, due to their delicate nature. One bad experience of them (or any other seafood) can put you off them for life. I'm the same with oysters.
I am guessing the time i had them before , they were over cooked or not as fresh as they should be.

Had a bad reaction to scallops one night and haven't been able to look at them since. All other seafood is no bother and I'd normally go for a seafood dish if out for a meal, but scallops are a big no no now!!
As for the steak thing, it must be a generational thing as my mum and dad always cremated it as well. It was like boot leather, but you clabbered it in salt and took it out with you to play and ate it on the go, like beef jerkey.
It's only when you get older and cook it yourself that you appreciate that is doesn't need to be dried out to high heavens. I don't like the bleed still running out of it though!
I really like seafood, but i have tried scallops a few times and dont like them, maybe they just havent been cooked properly, but i found them tough and rubbery.
Not a fan of oysters either. A big ball of gue in salty water

Can anyone provide one shred of evidence that any of this is true??
There's plenty of evidence out there that Giggs is not to be trusted

I doubt he would do much with the players United have right now because very few of them are good enough to play for a club like United.Quote from: mikehunt on April 12, 2016, 12:02:39 PMQuote from: The Stallion on April 12, 2016, 11:46:29 AM
Why is it so controversial to be a Liverpool fan and not think Klopp is doing a good job. They have no chance of finishing top four in a season where Chelsea aren't in contention and both Manchester teams have been quite poor.
Performances have been consistently poor and he gave Mignolet a new contract. Why would anyone be happy with that?
Would Man U fans prefer Klopp or Maureen to be their next manager? If Liverpool sacked Klopp in the morning and hired Eddie Howe, how many would agree with that decision?
Good question. Maureen's immediate effect would probably be better but maybe long term Klopp would work out better? Not really sure but either would be better than LVG

That was a good performance. Big call to leave Sturridge on the bench, and Origi worked like a trojan to repay the faith. Dortmund still look a more polished team, and will probably score at Anfield, but Liverpool definitely look like they could worry them, and now that we have a few lads fit and in a bit of form, there are options up front. Looked like some atmosphere as well, I'd say Anfield will be rocking next Thursday.
