The assumption that everyone from a Nationalist background would vote for a UI is way off the mark
This is peddled all the time. It should be qualified by saying the assupmtion that anyone would vote for a UI without knowing what it means for them and society is wrong. The challenge for nationalists and I believe that both SDLP and SF are now starting to get to grips with this, is what it would look like, how it affects peoples pockets and what will loyalist reaction be. It is a nonsense to ask people to vote otherwise.

It sounds a bit like asking people to vote for Brexit without having a fciking clue what it would mean. Imagine!

Agree.  But equally it's a joke he didn't win it if that's the rule.  If the criteria is anyone who is 23 at the start of the season is eligible, and it's best performing player from that group wins it, then Kane surely was a shoe in???.  They made a mockery of their own rules.  Definitely should be lowered to 21.
I agree. Based on the rules, as ridiculous  as they are, Kane should probably have won it. 21 at the start of the season would be more appropriate age for young player of the year though.

In fairness Sane has had a fantastic season and it is not unreasonable to mention him at the same level as Kane.

Anyone give me a bit of advice. Have the car about a month (it isnt new). All has seemed grand but have noticed intermittently that when i stop the car and turn it off there is like a fan noise that comes from engine as if it is cooling down or something. Its quite loud even though car is completely off. Timed it the last few times and it goes on for about 3 minutes. It isnt every time i turn it off but starting to happen a bit more often over these last 2 days.
Anyone any ideas? Im panicking that its something major
Not a mechanic like GJL but same thing happens with my (diesel) car and my husband's as well.

It is the DPF regenerating to burn off the carbon deposits in the filter. Shouldn’t allow this to happen too often without dipping your engine oil to make sure it isn’t rising. The deposits form if you have short journeys or at the end of a low rev or speed journey as the car doesn’t carry out a regeneration cycle before you stop the engine. Diesel is dumped into the collection vessel to burn off the soot. If this occurs too often the excess diesel finds its way to engine oil and then you have bother. If you hear the noise again you will also find a burning smell. This is the bother of having a DPF and a clean Diesel engine. All very expensive to have cleaned out or replaced. Secondhand diesels of this type will become a financial mine field.

Would a long drive sort this out ? Burn out all the dirt

Yea. All modern diesel cars with a DPF benefit from a good spin out a motorway at 70mph so that the system can perform a full regeneration. You can also get an additive for the fuel that you can put in every 10000 miles or so that will help clean the whole system.

Is that what AdBlue does ?

As Owen explained AdBlue is for a slightly different purpose. I'd recommend an additive every few thousand miles as I will clean the whole system including injectors, EGR valve, DPF filter etc. Basically it de-carbons the components.

Thanks everyone. It isnt happening every time but then im mostly doing short journeys. Few miles here and there. Have never had a burning smell from it, no smell at all.

Came up on the dash saying it needs serviced. Seems to have been serviced about 12000 miles ago so im going to book it in somewhere within the next few weeks.

If im only doing short journeys how often should i be doing a 70 mph run down the motorway?
I would assume every 6 weeks at the very minimum.

Yes or maybe once a month. Does not need to be Belfast and back. About 15 miles in total is enough. When your getting it serviced ask the mechanic to put in a Diesel additive that will clean the DPF system.

Good performance across the field tonight with Jones, Pogba, Rashford, Martial and Lukaku in particular showing well.

Yep.

That is Champion's League football basically assured next year. Might as well push on now to try to remain in second and also an FA cup would be nice.

It could just be the DPF going through a regeneration process. Normal enough.

Is it a VW, Seat, Skoda or Audi?

Are Liverpool really any nearer to winning the league than United? United are criticised by nearly every pundit yet if they win their game in hand they'll be 4 points clear of Liverpool. Their squad has very little depth and will likely loose Can this summer to make matters worse. If any of the front 3 got injured they'd be in big trouble. They probably need 4 or 5 quality players to win a title and not convinced they'll get them this summer. Win the CL and Klopp will get a free ride for a few years though and probably deservedly so.

Only time will tell but I do think there's a lot more to come from United. We've tended to have some very good halfs of football this season against the top teams in the league which is an improvement on last season. I think we've got huge issues at fullback, they've both got slower as the season has gone on; Replace them and we'll see a difference. We need a centre half and a centre mid too, ideally we need a right sided attacking player but don't see one coming in unless Martial is sold.

With the greatest respect though Liverpool have not won the league in almost 30 years and are operating off a much lower budget. They haven't spent near the money United have. To be no closer to winning the league than them must be classed as a failure. I don't mean any disrespect to Liverpool in that by the way....and they may indeed win a league before United do. Especially if there's no managerial changes in wither club.

Any names of players who'd improve United?

Neither did Leicester...

Utd (Jose) needs to assess his best team and get everyone fit, the season has been a disaster and will be compounded even further, next week against Spurs.. the 30 minutes I watched at the weekend was dreadful, not unlike a lot of games this season. Its got that bad now my dad doesnt bother to watch them live, prefering match of the day, he's been watching them since the mid 50's and its been too many poor games that have slipped away, negitive play also! He prefers the highlights (limited) rather the whole game..

There is a league winning team there, maybe MS is right but I can't see Klopp coming to Utd TBH and he's about the best out there along with Pep
A timely reminder where Manchester United have come from.

2013/14 7th
2014/15 4th
2015/16 5th
2016/17 6th

Manchester United currently second in the table with a game in hand and with five games to play already have more points secured than any of the last 4 seasons. If they improve further next season they should challenge for the title.

I was hoping for the second season Improvement that good managers generally bring, albeit City have blown everyone away they have underperformed to an extent and Bristol city and Sevilla have put Utd out of 2 cup competitions. Will all be forgiven should Utd win the FA Cup and stay second?

2nd and an FA cup win would have to be considered a decent season given the last few. All be it by playing football that is not that pleasing to the eye.

what;s that URL again? HAve you ever got NFL or MLB from them?
shootjerseys.cc
No but if they are as good quality as the soccer jerseys they will be fine.

I see on the website it says handwash only. Have you put them through machine wash? Do they survive OK?

Going to order the wee lad a strip. Great value.
