Good win for Derry . Looking hard enough for the Larries .

Croí na hÉireann

Poor performance from us yesterday on an awful day for football. Lots of handling errors due to the conditions from both sides. Michael Quinn was a delight to watch though, was at the heart of anything Longford produced and would be right up there with Lacey as one of the best center backs in the country.

The positives to take were that we took our goals well even if there was no great science behind them. Also to win away whilst not playing great can't be overlooked in this division. Callum McCormack is turning into a diamond of a footballer, scored some lovely points again in the first half while he was a little subdued in the second.

4 points from 4, we can go to Tuam now in 3 weeks with no pressure on us and can just concentrate on getting a good performance, a decent start to the league for the first time in years.

Only one team on 4 points and they are hardly head and shoulders above the rest like Tyrone last year.

What's wrong with Sharry shark? Big losses is right. Good chance for young Curley to show if he can step up though, hope Dessie is able for the last 10 if it's in the balance.
