Bookies have it.

Longford slight favourites over Fermanagh 10/11
Offaly favourites over Antrim 8/13
Westmeath slight favourites over Cavan 10/11

Anyone think there's great value in Tipp at home to Down. Underdog 9/4. I know there's a consensus Down are improving but they didn't win a game last year.

Seen Tipp v Waterford in the McGrath and they played really well ( I know it was Waterford ) . Playing a different system from last year which was very defensive and counter attacking . More attacking this year and getting the ball into the inside Forward line quickly , Steven O`Brien has been moved to Full Forward , big lad wins a lot of ball and lays it of which really suits Sweeney and O`Connor . Podge Feehan back in Midfield great foot passer will supply plenty of ball inside . Unfortunatly Jack Russell is unavailable will be back from injury in a couple of weeks

Unlucky not to beat Limerick in the McGrath and from what I hear looking very lively in training ! Don`t take Tipp for granted ! !

Any idea what the GAA will charge into this  opposition. If its the same price as a championship game then the crowds will be poor. I'd say 10 euro would be plenty and free for u16s.

It could be free for everyone and there will be nobody at it. The attendances for Division 3/4 teams this year were very small.

Most teams had no travelling supporters in Division 4.

Don`t know where you are getting this info from , Tipp Supporters took a Bus to every away game and many travelled by car . Every game in Semple had away support including a large contingent from London !

Yeah Tipp full value for that win. Set up perfectly and played the conditions very well. If the most likely scenario plays out and we meet again in Croker, be interested to see how it plays out.

Thought we were superb yesterday , fought like Dogs . Missed a decent goal chance near the end to wrap it up . Tipp v Cavan in Croker , firm sod and a dry ball would be a decent game . I`m not dismissing Carlow and London though , we have to maintain momentum !

Tipp

Hope - Win Div 4 , win Munster final !

Expectation - We should come out of Div 4 , reaching a Munster Final is realistic considering the Draw . We are down a couple of Players from last year but still some really good quality there !

Load of old shite and a myth peddled by too many sure to listen to Loyalists they feel the same way both sides going out for their way to spout the "poor me" mentality!!

A myth? Are you for real?

A valid point I seen raised on twitter:

On the 25th Anniversary of the Shankill bomb, bbc ni was saturated on tv & radio with news reports, documentaries and radio and web coverage for five days. Links to much of their coverage can still be found with a quick google. In contrast, they did not make even one MENTION whatsoever of the Loughinisland Massacre on it's 25th anniversary on TV, radio or web.

Does that not tell you something?

Incidentally, they continue to refuse to broadcast the 'No Stone Unturned' film about the massacre.

Well said !

Great performance from Tipp , 4 points up after 4 minutes then the Cork  ::) Ref gave frees out of sympathy to the Waterford lads , their own supporters were embarrassed ! The 3 Thurles lads were superb along with Gooch Shanahan of Roscrea and Kyle Shelly .

Very competitive division as usual, this year on paper looks a fair bit tougher than last years divison.

Donegal look to be the best team and would expect to go straight back up but i would imagine mcbrearty wont be back for the league? and if gweedore win ulster they will be missing some very important players off that aswell. Kildare rightly 2nd favorites for me, even excluding last years mayo game kildare werent far away at all, in division 1 they lost all their games but they were very competitive and werent far away at all which is saying alot given the jump in standard of division 2 to 1. Daniel flynn being away is going to be a huge loss for them. Cork, Tipp, Meath, Armagh, Clare and Fermanagh you can expect anything from any of these teams. Clare probably have the toughest fixture schedule, meath after last year are an interesting one to be 4th favourites.

On Tipp, if we really try give a go at promotion i think we could be there or thereabouts. Fixturewise its the best we could hope for, avoided long trips to donegal and fermanagh and have 4 home games. We havent had any major losses to the panel and have added 4/5 players who i think can make a positive impact on the panel and push for starting positions. As important as anything is the players we retained, john meagher everyone thought was a shoe in for the hurlers but he opted to stick with the footballers for 2019 and philly austin giving it another year is a big plus. I cant wait for the league to roll around, we really should have been promoted last year but in the end didnt deserve to be because we failed to see out games from a winning position, im hoping lessons from that have been learned along with some other glaring mistakes we made last year.

Too many games last year we fell away with 10-15 minutes to go , fitness had to an issue ! New Strength and Conditioning Coach this year who will hopefully address this . Nothing between Cork , Meath , Armagh and Tipp in the betting and I think that is fair enough , it`s going to be a fair battle for promotion , good point about Donegal and the Gweedore players they might not get it as comfortable as they would like without them !

All the Huns can say is wait till the next one, been saying that for the last 2 years and we all know what happens, I hope dumb slippy g realises that his team really are dirt and they should have been hammered 4/5, Rodgers is still the master and he dealt with the Dembele departure in the correct way, just hope he gets to use some of that transfer fee to strengthen the team in January

He will , Right full back badly needed . Has to be thinking Midfield as I reckon he will stay until the Summer but big bucks will be offered for Ntcham and he will go then .

As easy as any victory against them last year. They really aren't much better.

Skin of their teeth. Rangers had a couple of good chances to snatch a draw.

:D  :D  :D . . . . .

Wise up, was a 1-0 hammering

Absolutely ! Was on the cards after Sevco played Motherwell last week , last 20 minutes of that game Motherwell mauled them ! Sevco are useless ! They are physical and try to bully Teams is all they have to offer .

Any of the hurlers join up with the panel?

Speaking to a lad in the know lately and he tells me if Tipp get over Mayo there is the chance that at least 2 individuals will be called in !
