Some game between Kiltane and Drumcliffe Rosses Point. Kiltane led by 11 at the beginning of the second half. Fair dues to DRP to sticking with it and nearly catching the Mayo side.
Yes sounded like a good game alright only caught the 2nd half on mid west, Sligo intermediate sides are getting into a habit with these fightbacks http://www.independent.ie/regionals/sligochampion/sport/bunninaddens-sensational-win-in-connacht-championship-28913298.html

Less said about the effort from Eslin the better. Should be a good high scoring final with plenty of forward talent on show.

Eslin only won the Sligo Junior Championship a couple of years ago. So Winning the Sligo Intermediate Championship was always going to be the height of their possible achievements.

Given they're a Leitrim club that was some achievement, to be fair.

Yeah sorry, Sligo was on the brain for some reason!  :-[

Mitchells very deserving winners. Far too laboured up front, though, and if they don't improve massively in that area Corofin will railroad them.

That I fear is the end of the road for Mitchels. But don't underestimate the conditions both teams had to play in.

Kirby red card isn't going to help either.

Will Corofin and Castlebar be played in Tuam Stadium?

All matches should be played in McHale Park as it is the Croker of Connacht.
Time to take a more chill-pill approach to life.

My arse MGHU. Farra yes & at least both sides should have a good playing surface for this game.

The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

Are there still astroturf goalmouths in Tuam?

And sideline too, like. Even though it's falling apart Tuam Stadium has a hell of a lot of character.

Farrandeelin

Best of luck to Castlebar Mitchels today. It'll be hard beat Corofin, but Mitchels are not too bad. Kirby and his lucky goals will be a loss though.
Inaugural Football Championship Prediction Winner.

Syferus

Brigids 1-11 Mary's 0-01 HT.

Brigid's in sparkling form, Frankie is completely unmarkable today.

ballinaman

Well done Castlebar, shakey start but dug it out. Corofin had some awful wides. Should get great confidence and battle hardened going up against Brigid's.

Syferus

Did Corofin take their eye off the ball or are Castlebar fulfilling their promise? Probably a bit of both.

Shows the folly of making Corofin Connacht favourites over Brigid's.

FT from Carrick: Brigids 5-15 Mary's 1-05.

Well done Mitchels.Great effort right til the end.I suspect Corofin were looking at a hill in the distance and didn't see the bump in the road, but Mitchels deserved their win over what Sean og de P described as one of the finest  teams ever to come out of Corofin
