Quote from: HokeyPokey on April 16, 2024, 11:42:26 PMI do find it odd that those who are so against trans rights have no personal experiences or skin in the game so as to speak.
Not even Graham Lenihan or J.K. Rowling are against 'trans rights' per se.

Quote from: marty34 on April 16, 2024, 10:34:41 PMI thought Barca's Gundogen was clipped in the penaalty box before PSG got a goal in the econd half?
The one he got booked after for for arguing? Never for me, he wad going nowhere and looked for it.
He was tripped with the ball still in play, and a chance that Barca could have gained a cross or a corner,  doesn't matter one iota if he was being well marshalled away from goal and to claim he was "looking for it" requires mind reading ability, not an objective factor. The ref could have pointed to the spot and there wouldn't have been too many qualms had he done so.

I didn't think it was a clear foul/red card in the Barca v PSG game,  50/50  but I can accept the ref saw it as a clear red card.

What pees me off are those occasions when a ref up with the play, with clear sight does decide such and such an incident was not a penalty or red card,  the VAR calls the ref to note some minuscule touch by a defender, even editing the scope of the video replay.

Conor has received a full pardon from Joe who has eulogized the man, his leadership character and his football genius.
In Joe's eyes, Conor accepted Joe's criticism as a challenge to overcome and bury his inadequacies.

I hope we don't have to tell Benny a third time about the Aberdeen game.

Quote from: bennydorano on April 14, 2024, 02:44:50 PMPost split fixtures not out yet. Aberdeen away next weekend is the last - should concentrate the minds!
Cup semi finals are at a neutral venue, it should be Hampden.
I think Celtic will have 3 home games out of the 5 split games and Rangers will have 2 homes games.

As far as I was concerned, Celtic were favorites to win the title  before this result. Rodgers has the special voodoo when it comes to Rangers.

Unlikely , as they were playing Ross County ;) .

Hmm, I see they have to play Dundee midweek

That's a real 'Welcome to Scotland' for Phillipe Clement.
He thought his team could walk on water - even Dundee water

First penalty given, it did look like a hand ball.

Rangers might will need 3 penalties, I don't think this ref would give them.

The hand of God is not with them.

Tuchel: "What makes us really angry is the explanation on the field. He told our players that it's a kids mistake and he will not give a penalty like this in a quarter-final."

Yeah that's what it looked like.

100% Penalty - Referee and even more so VAR bottled it!
Like the mistake a Spurs goalie made from a throw in when touching the ball in a failed attempt to trap it before it trickled into the net. A kid´s mistake for sure::)

Saka up to his usual tricks, the ref got it spot on.
