't have a settled half back line last year, i would think that someone like John Small could be a potential champo starter.

Deegan was a bit of a joke, though at least he was equally bad to both teams. But the throw up after he got hit with the handpass was ridiculous, unless there is a specific rule stating that play must stop if the ball hits the ref - haven't heard of it before?
Re your question about the rules
rule 2.10 if the ball touches any non player during play, play is restarted by throwing in the ball etc etc

Deegan got it spot on yet again,   unlike his critics  :)

Rule book needs tearing up and changed .

Roscommon are 10/3 to win connacht . This is a winner winner . They will win it imo but they are certain to get to final and could be layed in the final where they will go in at about 7/4 against Mayo or Galway at 4/7 and if it's Galway it could be even more generous.

All the panel except for any non natives of Ballaghadereen CO. ROSCOMMON.

Haha the irony, sure any fookin native is going to be Mayo .Its the fairymount dads and the sheepwalk mams who blew into the town that cause the confusion.

Seafoid will be delighted to hear that our manager Mark Down said look it at least 40 times in the post match interview :D

Mark would have to be cagey operator to have led the Ballagh Rossies to a Mayo county title. The Mayo lads will be after him at this rate.

How many Rossies were on that panel then?

I hope Gallagher is going to get more game time than just last week , I know he was very quiet v Kerry but these bucks need a few games . He might of thought to himself last week " no sense in putting in a motm performance here like I did against Kildare and tyrone last year, you only get dropped then"

General discussion / Re: Running

Complete novice here , been on the couch smokin fags for  near 20 years now . At the age of 37 this year I decided to quit the smokes and try to see if I could get some sort of level of fitness to prolong the life to 50 maybe to give me half a chance of seein Mayo lift sam.

Is there any advice I could get off Ye, I've started to do a bit  of running . Here's what I've found so far , on the road is the toughest , I seem to get a lot more out of myself doin laps of the pitch . Should I try to improve on distance each time or get faster with the distance im doing which is only at about 3 mile so far but I do believe I'm capable of improving on that each time.

Don't be takin the piss now as this is daunting enough , people  don't realise how low on confidence you become for this sort of thing if you're so long out doing nothing of this nature.

Too conscious of the belt that's coming in , you can't ditch that , it's just part of who you are . Maurice Sheridan compensated for this weakness through his free kick taking , freeman  has quality too but  as I said.

Too much examination here lads/ lassies for February.

I do agree with the sentiment though that the players who are now very seasoned campaigners should not have to be told by the sideline to stop hoofing it up garyowen style down the middle when we are not able to outfield someone like Moran, albeit he should be surrounded on landing anyway to nullify the advantage , no sense in jumping with a man if you can't disrupt enough to stop him making the clean catch way better off watching and pouncing when he lands.

Good second half from Donegal. Could even afford to gift Derry two of their three second half points! Derry couldn't handle Murphy when he went in full forward, Neil Gallagher and Christy Toye were immense and we did very well with the turnovers in the second half.

Two points down, four left to get! :)

Murphy gave a masterclass on how to 'win' frees / panalties alright. Either lean back into the defender or shake your head and fall to your knees. Duffy fell for it everytime

This is something that refs need to address . Pat Mcilovekerry and his associates talk a load of shite about the rules but never actually get to the real issues that are causing frustration.

As twohands said McLoughlin's gem halted Kerry's comeback. Aido coming on helped too, because just like Limerick our midfield up till then was awful. More from e tomorrow evening sometime prob.Regan desperately unlucky.

I though he controlled the tempo of the game completely when he came on. Kerry's momentum went away when he started slowing it down and riding tackles.

One good feature for us today was some lovely foot passes. O'Shea sent a great one in for a Conroy point near the end and I can recall ones from Durcan and Higgins as well.

One bad feature was our failure to properly contest kick-outs.

Seamie o Sheas foot passing on the other hand was woeful.

We have long way to go before we become the " Superpower " the Rhus are jokingly calling us.
Goalie and GB line good. HB line non existent as usual- Daly's the worst offenders, midfield a *** disaster, Bally not a footballer. Cregg got a goal and vanished before and after. F f line - good and if only we'd get quick ball into them instead of underage passity pass a d ball carrying. It's only First of February but I foresee a year of struggle.

I can go ahead and book the AIQF tickets if you've made that call so ;D

Honestly Syferus go ahead and book the hotel and tickets . Nothing Surer, I think connacht champions are on week after Aug weekend this year.
