Sandino

Kerry dominate the Opel GPA Football team of the year for 2009 with eight representatives, as players from Cork and Kildare complete the line-up.

Diarmuid Murphy, Marc Ó Sé, Tomás Ó Sé, Tom O'Sullivan, Seamus Scanlon, Paul Galvin, Declan O'Sullivan and Tommy Walsh all make the cut for the Kingdom.

Losing All-Ireland finalists Cork have six players included, Michael Shields, Graham Canty, John Miskella, Pearse O'Neill, Paddy Kelly and Daniel Goulding.

The remaining place on the team is filled by Kildare's veteran midfielder Dermot Earley.

I can't see why Goulding made both teams based on just one good performance in the Munster final. His marker even won MOTM in the All-Ireland final.

I take it the GPA are trying to write (or select) themselves into oblivion, having already cornered the irrelevance market.

Why has Daniel Goulding got on both these teams?? He's not bad but he's not all star material.

Lacey also was outstanding having some superb games and shouldn't have been left out. Wonder did Tadhg's "outburst" go against him...

Still don't see how Michael Shields got into any of the All Start or GPA teams based on the roastings he got this year.  McMahon of Tyrone would have been more deserving.  Lacey is a cert in any team this year as is Stephen O'Neill.

You'v lost me here. Kavanagh was the best Wing-forward I seen all year.That includes Galvin.
