Yes, in the end, United certainly shaded it and deserved the win.

However, Liverpool played them off the park for most of the second half and had should have won it 4-1 or something.

That loss was Liverpool's own fault, no question about it.

The thing I don't get is that he's nothing like a Klopp attacker, he's slow, ponderous and hasn't got an overly great touch.
Nunez has his detractors but he's got loads of pace and energy and is weighing in with plenty of goals, Jota is a big loss at the minute, fantastic player for Liverpool.

Since when did we all start counting clear offsides as chances?

Bruno should been shown a second yellow for the lunge on szoboszlai. Game over if the ref had any balls.

Clear offside for united's second not flagged by linesman.

Liverpool did throw it away but united rode their luck big time.

Rodriguez was / maybe is a very good footballer. He's just lazy and work shy.

Gakpo I think quite poor too bit for all the new blood that has come in bound to be at least 1 not up to it.

Gakpo doesn't grab the eye as much as the others as he's not just as dynamic.  But his figures aren't bad for someone who hasn't started much this season.  Has a decent amount of goals and assists. e.g. more than Diaz.  He's ok as a 3r or 4th choice forward. He's probably not an impact sub.  Better off playing him from the start and bring a Diaz or Nunes on for impact when the spaces open up.
