A few thoughts from the weekend....

With the split season why doesnt CL manage his club thus avoiding an outside manager and the obvious "expenses" incurred

Why did the Burren hierarchy ignore their greatest player when he vehemently opposed retaining last years failed management team?

With Kilcoo so far ahead of all other senior teams in the county do they really resort to underhand tactics?

I think Glen were lucky in the sense that they played quite poor but won by 5 points.

That said in last few mins the running power of some of their players was evident and they were deserving winner, I think cargin should have been more direct in second half.

Was impressed with Kilcoo last night, so professional. Be odds on to win in 2 weeks time no doubt

Both teams are odds on (5/6 ) with paddy power so it really is 50/50 with the bookmakers

Interesting to see who the panel will be now - plenty of players have had run ins with Laverty over the years (young and old).

Also I take it this is Laverty retired from Football? Be some going to manage county then tog out for club

And remains as U-20 manager

If half the Down people who went to Croke park yesterday come to the first league game next year then we will have a great crowd.
If ever a post backed up a posters name.

Truth hurts when you see  Down men and women in Croke Park wearing Mc Keever  Jerseys-no problem supporting our neighbours, but wearing their colours is beyond belief.

Band waggoners.

Somewhat strange that the captain and vice captain suffer similar injuries in the lead up to the latter stages of the championship.
This added to the continued absence of the likes of Cluxton and Mc Caffrey doesnt instill total confidence in the dublin squad's chances of further progression in this all-ireland series.

Is the INF still big in places too?
One in Lurgan, Newry and Hilltown. Maybe Belfast?

One in Omagh

A very busy branch in Lisburn, albeit with a distinct eastern European influence .

The headline match today is a club built on funds stolen from the sale of Russian state assets and an owner facing sanctions because of his links to the Kremlin. Against a state responsible for bombing Yemen and who yesterday executed a record 81 men in a single day. But the premier league and football authorities have enabled this and gullible tribal fans continue to lap it up.
The double standards are a disgrace. But it's nothing new. Whats happening in Ukraine is a disgrace but the same and worse has been happening in Palestine, Yemen and more without a word being said.

Now now don't be bringing politics into sport :-X

Absolutely irrelevant club make-up as game management was the problem-2 points up in the closing stages to be beat by a point in a relegation battle is really poor

Donegal fail to adapt and take the wind advantage for the second game in a row-Tyrone chose to play against the wind and would expect to press home their advantage in this second half

The substitutions seriously weakened the team, Abada, Ajeti and McCarthy are just not up to the standard needed against this type of opposition. I think it was McCarthy who was defensively exposed for both BL's 2nd and 3rd goals. Would Soro not have been a better option?   And replacing the front 3 with the reserve 3?
And far too many injury prone players, Biton McCarthy, Rogic, Johnston, Forrest.
All in all though, the team is clearly progressing under Ange.

Clearly the substitutions weakened Celtic.
At 2-1 Jota and Kyogo were withdrawn, replaced by Mikey Johnston and Ajeti who immediately had a good chance to make it 3-1 however within 6 minutes of withdrawing the former duo Leverkeusen hit the target and subsequently went on to score the winner.

Why withdraw the most effective players in such an important game, not only does it reduce their scoring chances but even their ability to hold the ball up whilst trying to see the game out was lost with the introduction of Ajeti and Johnston.

Tyrone were the last Ulster county to get the Sam account opened in 2003 and in the year of our Lord 2021 they are just 1 off Down and Cavan

Maybe ask the Ernemen or the Saffrons on this...yet to open their  account afaik
