Sick and tired of these small time managers

An excellent manager of the appointment is confirmed but the reality is that this is not a great squad that he is inheriting. Despite spending £500m there are a lot of bang average players on the Everton team. 3-4 of the starting team against United are post 30. Pickford is disaster. Richarlison is good on his day but very hot and cold. There needs to be major investment in the squad. Ancelotti is used to going into strong squad and improving them. Can he do an Italian Sam Allardyce?

The likes of Coleman and Baines are definitely on the wane but there are good replacements in the pipeline, it's just that there's been a poor run of injuries especially to midfielders, the likes of Gomez, Delph, Schneiderlin (who I don't rate) and Gbamin who we've seen very little off but is highly rated.

All in, it's a pretty young squad to work with.

The youth system in Everton only seems to loan players out or sell them on
The U23 team doesn't seem to actually develop players ready for the first team
Few ex players in very comfortable jobs
Where are all these talented young players?

Everton have invested rightly.  It's time they got someone in who can spend it wisely.  Some very weird decisions in previous transfer windows.

Everton's last win over Liverpool was in the 2010/11 season.

Davies Holgate and DCL are doing rightly from the academy but there does seem to be a lot of young lads who are billed as the next big thing and before you know it are loaned out and never heard off.

I think Davies will fall into that camp soon enough too. I just don't see it in him at all

Definitely some prospects anyway but very hard to come up through youth and get into a premier league starting 11. I had higher hopes for Lookman - thought he could have been managed better.

Holgate & Calvert Lewin are nothing to do with Evertons academy, Holgate was 18 and Calvert Lewin was 19 when they signed for Everton.

Holgate & Calvert Lewin are nothing to do with Evertons academy, Holgate was 18 and Calvert Lewin was 19 when they signed for Everton.

Buy in prospects and try to develop them more.
