Donegal played around with Armagh in that second half like a cat with a mouse, I have never seen anything like it in senior championship football before, it must have been hard for Armagh supporters to watch, what happens next for Armagh I just dont know, they will be hard to motivate for the qualifiers.

I agree with those posters who think Sligo will give Mayo a good game on the 19th July, they might even win it and with a bit of luck Mayo could be drawn against Longford in the qualifiers, it would be a great chance to avenge that defeat in Pearse park the last time ye played them in the Championship, but you never know!

Galways attempt at defending today was poor to say the least, if thats what Mayo have this year then they have gone back into the chasing pack, if they win the five in a row they will be on course to play the dubs in the semi, that would have a sad end for them on todays form, no new tactics no new faces, same old, same old, dead men walking. But maybe they have another gear but I dont think so.

Kerry start with only 7 of last years all-ire final team on Sunday, Mayo start with 13 of team beaten by Kerry in Limerick, looks like Mayo are a one trick pony and the pony is getting old and tired!

That about sums you up itchy. well done.

At the cup presentation today he spent more of his speech talking about Armagh (the losers) than he did about Roscommon, a president for Ulster and no one else.

How many of a panel do ye have up there in Sligo, its taking ye a month to pick that team that more or less picks itself, if ye hang on 3 more weeks ye will know what the team is.

Quoting sligoman is a bit like quoting homer simpson there manning 18, Sligo havent bent to many over tables over the last few decades and never will, they are a garrison town who support anything but gaelic football, his ranting on that thread was a joke at best and anyone quoting him must have a very narrow perspective on football, I think I read 13 posts of his with only one subject and a vocabulary of about 12 words, so show your class and keep quoting sligoman.

Was at the game Sunday and that second half was hard going, Leitrim got some handy frees  but even allowing for that the free count was high, Galway made hard work of beating a team that were unable to score, that said Galway are in the perfect position for their clash with Mayo, no one knows what Galway have to offer and where Mayo are after a change of management and an inconsistent league, could not be better set up and I am really looking forward to it, will be a good game of football, may the best team win.

This a noedie thing and the blame lies fairly at yere door for the current state of our game. On all teams over the decades there have been dirty players and mouthpieces, when it was one or two on a team refs could deal with it, but now is has become a culture, it is undoubtedly being encouraged and coached by team management among the northern counties, that is plain to see from the actions on the field.
There were 4 other championship matches last weekend, has there been one  issue from any of the other games, these were all matches with intense rivalry, Longford-Offaly is a long running saga but they showed respect for one another played football to the best of their ability and won or took their defeat in a manly manner, maybe the nordies could follow suit or are their games bigger and more important so thuggery etc is justified. Your actions on the field reflect your society, yes I said at the outset that every county has their hard men or mouthpieces but in most counties it is the exception rather than the rule, but when your county encourages thuggery and makes excuses after well.......
