I just heard about the Khan and MAB fight and was about to post the article I read on it.  Quite shocked that Khan is taking this fight, its a bit like him playing Vauxhall Conference sides every week and then jumping to play Real Madrid.

The only thing working in Khans favour is that MAB is now 34 and is alot smaller than Khan who is a pretty big lightweight.  Apparently Barreras goal is to become the first Mexican ever to win a title in 4 different weight divisions.

QuoteGerrard and Lampard are like Ronaldo in that they have very little defensive responsibility so they really should be scoring goals. They are good athletes alright but they're not covering every blade of grass like a Bryan Robson or Roy Keane would have. They are more deep lying strikers than midfielders.

True Magpis, very true.  The like of Paul Scholes pulling the strings in midfield is uncommon nowadays, with Fabregas being the other player playing a similar role in what is probably the way a midfielder should play - although Scholes has a big problem when it comes to tackling.

I don't think he had a problem medically speaking.  I remember her yelling at him towards the end to get up and stop playing the computer etc and shouting at him that there was nothing wrong with him so he should get up and sort himself out.

That old North Antrim accent is brutal - you ever hear Ally Elliot or the late Joey Dunlop on TV/radio being interviewed and you will get it.  The spidey Belfast accent is without doubt the worst.  That Bangor accent is annoying as hell, listening to Snodden and his woman every morning and you'll get the drift.  Was the Strabane accent not voted the Sexiest In Ireland before in some National poll?

Aye, I saw the last half of it and was shocking to watch.  The mother was a fool and as mentioned sticking a Hod Dog with Mustard in his hand as a reward for getting a gastric band was unbelievable.

Its hardly the same old shite every year - sure CSI is the same veery week is it not?  Someone is killed and the CSI Super Team get their wee kits out and solve the crime.

Never watched it last night but had watched the 1st 20 minutes on the Redemption disc and it looks good.  Made the mistake of watching Season 6 on Sky and it was not the same, so going to just hold out for the DVDs.

QuoteHarte started 7 or 8 established county players and brought on a few more ,  Probably the same as Down .

QuoteMickey Harte called on 11 of the all-ireland winning side according to RTE, of Down's 15+ yesterday about 9 played championship football last year (open to correction)

Previously MH would have played alot of the bigger Tyrone players and this has came back to haunt Tyrone throughout the season with lots of the key players picking up injuries etc.  In 2006 and 2007 Tyrone were flying in the McKenna Cup but seemed to go downhill as the season wore on - it could be a coincidence, or maybe not.  I'm not saying that the McKenna Cup is entirely responsible, but there is enough football to be played with the league and its important to rest a certain number of key players when the chance is there.  Its a good opportunity for MH to run his eyes over fringe players or newcomers also and give returning players like SON some valuable game time.

QuoteRadio Ulster had a segment on this this morn, and were debating whether it was worse than referring to an Irish soldier as "Paddy", Scottish as "Jock", Welsh as "Taffy" etc.
I heard this on GMTV this morning and Americans being called 'Yanks' was mentioned.  At the end of the day its a term that most people on the street would use to refer to people from Pakistan, although when you have Pakistani community representatives on saying how they regard the term (skin heads in 70s/80s etc) then it makes it seem worse especially considering Harrys position.
