their sledging is systematic and pre-planned, its only done off the ball when the cameras have moved on with the play.
that's why, for both yellows, the tv commentators were trying to second guess what they were for.
ps, you don't really see much of the  off the ball stuff on tv, but you see it if youre there at the match.
#2
you obviously weren't AT the game

the point is ,its obviously part of donegals  game plan. its pre-meditated .its not just a reaction. against tyrone you could clearly see it , but only when the play wasn 't near them, -so you cant see it on camera. but it was very obvious from the stand -McGee and mcmenemin especially .trampish behaviour

donegal full-backs McGee and mcmenamin both yellow carded for sledgeing/goading.

mcmenamin (the boy who tiernan McCann lost the head with) also got a box for his mouthing.

? is this the first time a ref has booked 2 players from the same team for  it .

Anybody any clue what McCann was at??

Putting 2 fingers inside another players mouth is a very specific and targeted action. It hard to imagine that it was just made up on the spot. Was he trying to get the gum shield out and engineer a bite mark on his finger?

Irrespective of what punishment the rule book permits the incident is troubling and reflects very badly on the lad

maybe he was provoked?....  there was a a lot of sledging/goading/thrash talking goin on in Donegal fullback line   esp first half

its quite obvious the reason why joe ,pat and colm haven't a clue how to analyse modern football, is  because it has evolved so much under the guidance of modern managers like mickey harte and jimmy mcguinness, that they haven't a clue whats going on within team structures , ie different set-ups when teams HAVE and HAVE NOT possession of the ball, how they defend, turnover possession,  transition, counter-attack and score.  there are lots of different strategies employed by the top managers but these three stoogies  haven't a clue what they are., This is evidenced by the far superior analyzis on sky tv ,. The three stoogies try to create controversy/sensationalism to cover up this fact that if you don't understand whats going on you cant analyse it.

The question isn't 'why were TSG not as hard on Dublin and mayo as they were on Tyrone'.
the question is why were TCG not as hard on monaghan as they were on tyrone. they only highlighted two monaghan indiscretions as examples of tyrones cynical play/diving/time wasting.  obvious bias surely

if the sunday game WASN'T BIASED would they not have highlighted Kerry's dark arts/cynical play/cheating   ie; drag downs, dives and numerous hand trips

duffy hadn't the benefit of replays. the sunday game panelists had 30hours and several different camera angles to see that meyler gave the pass, changed direction to avoid contact while going for the return. hughes then moves sideways to obstruct meylers run. actually if meyler hadn't moved towards him it would have been even more obvious that hughes was launching himself straight at meyler.
SHAME ON YOUSE COLM OROURKE N CIARAN WHELAN FOR TRYING TO CREATE THE PERCECTION THAT TYRONE WERE SOLELY TO BLAME FOR EVERYTHING

I think congress will deal with this next year and certainly need to. The McCann suspension was never going to be upheld and may have been proposed to make it easier to get a rule through congress next year. How Meyler or Keane got off though is more perplexing. They may have been of the softer variety but the weren't ridiculous decisions based on the rule book. The reason their cards were overturned needs to be explained.

EDIT: I agree Benny.

Indeed. The Meyler one I don't understand at all he blatantly changed his run to collide with Hughes!!

I'd say it's a technicality where the video shows it was a 3rd man tackle and that he didn't actually pull Hughes down so there referee gave him the black card for the wrong offence.
I'd say you only saw the sunday game's biased opinion of this incident.? did you not see it analysed properly on sky where they agreed(and it clearly shows) that hughes was mostly to blame as he ran across into meylers path to take him out of the play.meyler simply reacted.
therefore it should have been a black for hughes and at most a yellow for meyler who did NOT put BOTH arms around hughes to pull him down

?did u see the game, ? u don't believe these incidents actually all happened.  ?does the fact that nobody is disputing any of them tell u anything?

watched 2nd half on sky hd box;

41min.44;  Malone celebrates scoring goal(7 steps) by rushing straight to p harte to goad him.thankfully peter doesn't re-act.

44.47;      dick collision at M/f.tyrone have possession.dick rolling around on ground. ?head injury, ref stops play.

46.00;      dicks up again,he's ok.

47.19;     dick down again, holding head again and rolling around even more this time. stevie oneill is disgusted, slo mo shows      no/minimal contact to head area.stevie yellow card .(wrong again ref)(mc quillan 4 ft away again)

48.16;     dick up again, he's ok again!

50.00;     tyrone get 45, ball-boy kicks ball away when tyrone go to retrieve it.(tyrone aren't allowed ball-boy).

55.29;    dessie mone does well to draw free, runs between 2 tyrone defenders, goes down ,and stays down.

58.11;    high tackle/chop down on sean by dick, tyrone free, No tick/card for dick???

58.26;    mc curry bottled up,ball breaks for tyrone, but ref calls play back, free to mon,mc curry black card , v harsh .

59.55;    bear hug and pull down on sean by Malone, deliberate and cynical, black card correct.

61.20;    Sean targeted again, reckless high tackle by mone, ref consults again, yellow card.

63.13;    line ball to monaghan given by mc quillan, ball clearly goes out off mon no.19 k oconnell who is now laughing at wrong call.

63.53;    Drew wylie goes down, stays down,  ??even more xtra time!
PS ; dick playing well, isnt showing any after-effects of 2 head injuries.(he's a tough nut).

66.15;    dick tries to take sean out again, but he lands on his arse, sean progresses.

5secs later;    sean pulled down again by Darren hughes, sean holds darrens arm' hughes black card.

69.50;    gallogly bear hugs sean twice, sean goes down eventually when dick joins in,free in ,no card.

71.18;    sean bear hugs Dick, dick goes down easily,( ? to get sean a black card).gets yellow as it was not a pull-DOWN.

72.17;   Tyrone break on attach, final whistle.

2 MINS xtra time played, there were 3MINS xtra time played 1st half with far fewer injuries/stoppages, AMAZING!!!

SOMEONE NEEDS TO GET A SKY+ BOX INTO RTE STUDIO ASAP SO WE CAN HAVE SOME PROPER ANALYSIS OF GAMES

? if tyrone were twice refused a ballboy by ulster council, how come monaghan were allowed one in Clones(young lad wearing navy who fed balls to monaghan keeper throughout entire match).

Does this mean;-
1;- there are different rules for tyrone?   If so,does this mean ulster council are cheats?
2;-monaghan never asked permission to use ballboy ,but just slipped him on hoping nobody would notice?   is this cheating by       monaghan?
3;-the young lad just decided himself to do ballboy for monaghan! is he a cheat? should joe93 question this lads manliness and inform viewers that none of this is NOT  in keeping within the spirit of the game??
3;-tyrone were disadvantaged unfairly for quick kickouts as Clarke was told by 4th official to return to his seat in the stand at the start
of the second half, leaving Morgan with no feeder for entire 2nd half (stats would indicate tyrone fared badly from own kickouts won 2nd half).
