Having U21 football final at same time as our only laois football team left in provincial action is a pure example of how brain dead our county board are.

I never said it started in 2008, it began more noticeable to me then, we had better footballers not making laois panels because their father wasn't important enough, doubt that happens to same extent in any other county.

Predictable responses, Everything about laois football is political btw, not sure what way laois football panels are being selected now, but i know for a fact back at the start of the slump 2008 in laois minor footballers it was who you were got your game with laois. Was at both minor games we lost that year to longford & at home to louth, there was a young lad with a belly on him playing half back it was laughable, cause we had donie kingston everything was going to be alright.

I would not of given senior footballer of year to colm begley, he may haven been the best player in senior championship. County board could Show a bit of loyalty and pick a stradbally  footballer who has kicked football in laois all his life ala maher, kelly & buggie. Just an opinion.

Is it better be in a B competition for a single club or an A competition as part of amalgamation? Long term i believe B competitions & get all young lads in ateas playing although easier said that done, a lot of lads are lost earlier than usual through amalgamayions imo.

Heard 1500 a month he was getting last year, decent money but he got as much as anyone got out a group of players, but the county board probably in napper tandys for the week, might sort it next week.

Not sure bout that tony, id say portlaoise are sick. Fair play to strad, great for laois football. Sick of listening to all negative stuff here, anyone with a head for football knows laois usually punch over their weight, although last few years haven't been great. Hopefully this new setup will work out well.

U17s were playing fermanagh away last sat lost 4-13 to 2-9 something like that, they were missing a good few though. Heatd tom kelly + eddie kinsella in for minor job.. they'd nearly want to have it sorted by now..

Great year for rosenallis, winning intermediate hurling yest as well, shows if you invest in juvenile system you'll reap the rewards, average age of both panels is about 22 or 23.

No doubting they have good footballers, losing to clonaslee & ballyfin in past two years, would of thought timahoe were better than both of them. Discipline big problem just look at midfielders one of them get the line + there done.

Wasn't at that game portlaoise and they had a good intermediate team this year, i think o dempseys will win. maybe my winning margin is a bit over the top. But was at timahoe match + Quigley getting off is pure bull.

I would have been more surprised if decision was upheld and he missed final, it means o dempseys wins by 10 instead of 15 pts. I honestly thought id never shout for dempseys but i will now.
