It has been widely recognised that there are a load of begrudging cnuts in Armagh that haven't a decent word to say about anyone.
Revisionism and selective memories are defo on the increase.  Paul Grimley is the messiah. :-X

Exactly  ::)

It has been widely recognised that Joe lost more All-Irelands for Armagh due to bad management.  He had a great club team at Crossmaglen who didn't need much managing.
Galway were poor and have been most of the season.  Surely there must be better managers in Galways and Big Joe can move home again and take over Cavan.

Personal attack on Joe?

I love how you talk about how Cross were so successful before him and didn't need much managing...

galway are similar to dublin and mayo. Fans think they are better then they are. the reality is anyone in the 2nd tier could beat either of the 3.

Galway are'nt great  but (even allowing for Meehan and Nicky's abscence) they should have had a much better season with the qualiity of some of the players they had. Dont forget they only just managed to scrape by New York.

Kiernan's legacy with Cross and Armagh should be still intact just like O'Mahony's with Galway and Leitrim. They were different teams and times. But judging him on his Galway tenure they've definitely gone back under him. If they sack he cant have any complaints. Big investment and hype like that should yield some progress rather than depending on Meehan staying injury free.

Why all the usual mention of Joyce's retirement? The man clearly loves his football. He is only 33 and playing and in the best form of his life. His style of play doesnt involve alot of running so there is no reason why he cant continue it for a few more seasons. By rights he should get an allstar for those 4 performances but probably too early in the season to count.

Agree with all of that

They have about 4 players who would get on the 2001 team. meehan, p joyce and perhaps a focused n joyce, and hanley. thats the bottom line. Its one of the poorest galway teams I've ever seen. Galway fans would want to waken up.

Jaysus you'd swear Galway fans were expecting an All-Ireland out of this team. Believe me they weren't. However a Connacht title is the bare minimum requirement every year for Galway so when that isn't delivered there is always questions and rightly or wrongly losing to Sligo and Wexford in succession is seen as unacceptable.

I actually don't think there will be much clamour in Galway for Kernan to leave though as people know he just doesn't have enough talent there to win an All-Ireland but they do expect better than they've seen in 2010.

Congrats to Wexford. They got handed a lifeline and were able to take it. Funny thing about the penalty though was that for the second week in a row after conceding a cheap goal Glaway responded with 3 points in a row to cancel it out. So character is fine. However, this is the 4th championship defeat in a row where Galway have lost out in injury time. Maybe some sort of psychological thing? They did also nick the game last year and a draw this year against us with injury time heroics. Its a funny set of results.

Think they would be mad to continue wasting money on Kernan. He has their players heads wrecked with tackling, time wasting, complaining to refs about their decisions and negative tactics. Really with the form Joyce is in Galway should have been at least quarter final material this year. I know they don't really like the qualifiers and the 3rd game in a week was tough but this is one they really should have won.
