Great commentary on the match there, lads. Thanks!

I had to work during all but the last 10 minutes of the match (then listened in on Midlands Radio). Read the Twitter feeds for the prior part of the match. It looks like the lads played a respectable match--with lots of news lads--and against Wexford, no less!

So can someone tell more about the circumstances of Enda Rowland's goal?

Just call me Junior...  :D
I would guess then that Mr. Ex Laoistalk is no good either.  ;)

Has Jack Kelly left the hurling panel? Heard he did today

Unless you mean Joe Phelan according to Laois today?

A lot of bad news on the hurling front, this last month or so.  :(

Laois 1-12 v 2-17 Westmeath

A very experimental Laois side with just four of the JMD Final players on field compared to Westmeath's twelve...
Thanks for your commentary G@@. I didn't get up early (5:30 am here) to listen to this one--going to wait until the League matches to start that.

I was wondering how many intercounty veterans we had on the pitch compared to Westmeath. If the ratio was 1:3 I don't feel too bad about the outcome. I was glad to see there was a new goalie getting some play time, just in case Enda Rowland has to be subbed (god forbid) for any amount of time this coming year.

Everyone back there probably already knows this but in case you don't, TG4 will be broadcasting the Laois v Dublin match from last July on Wednesday, 1 January, at 16:10.

I just looked at the CLG Laois Twitter feed to see how the match went. Looks like the lads played a great game. Was the Carlow side mostly new lads or veteran county hurlers?

I saw that Aaron Dunphy was injured. Any info on how he is doing?

I saw that Ronan Murray was the first to rattle the net. I'm not familiar with that name. What club is he from?

"Laois GAA's decision to change the name of the Senior 'A' hurling championship to Premier Intermediate has paved the way for area teams to enter the Senior hurling championship."

I just realized there's a match this Sunday! (Still seems strange for early December.)

Any more news on who's in and who's out?

I'm trying to decide whether or not to get up at 5:30 am this Sunday morning, here, to watch the Leinster Club Senior Hurling Final. Will it be a crackin' match or will it be a score of doe-eyed lads running head-long into a buzz saw?

Mossy it will be worth getting up at that time just to see TJ Reid in action
I didn't think about that. You're right!
