Not one post in this thread today shows how bad the current situation is.

Losing 2-0 to arguably the worst team in the league who had scored only 10 goals in 13 games shows how bad things are for United now.

So De Gea has signed a contract extension . . . very strange!!

Must be easier to be a big fish in a shit team than go somewhere to actually try to win things!!!
A player with the club 7 years and to stay a little longer is hardly strange.

DeGea has won every trophy in England with United. Staying with United hasn't stopped him from becoming Spain's number 1 keeper either. Shouldn't forget he was ridiculed when he first signed by United and has become one of the worlds best keepers. 18.9 million bargain if ever there was one.

First ever time that Liverpool have lost all 3 CL group games. Don't need to wonder why if they get knocked out.

Not good enough, for all the possession in the second half they created fcuk all.
Will have to beat Napoli now by a couple of goals.
Neymar is a cnut but he's a great player.
Isn't a 1-0 win enough to go through?

Mourinho gets the boot - who's going to come in to replace him?

This is why he is still in the job.
He's still in the job because the club are ran by business men instead of football men. Once United can no longer reach the top 4 his contract will be terminated and if my calculations are right and going by current form that will be early April.  His replacement should be modern coach with a progressive philosophy that talks more about the team than himself.

In the event of the business decision being made to remove him who would you reckon might be the modern coach with a progressive philosophy who could fill the spot. Also in the event that they get this man in what happens if in 2 years time and £250m invested and they are still behind the top 3-4 teams? Reset and replace?

Plenty of names mentioned and one would be Laurent Blanc. This is year 3 of Mourinho and where the team has regressed badly from last season. The next manager should also be given 3 years and reset and replace would be the natural thing to do if United find themselves closer to the bottom of the table than the top after a 3 year term.

Fellaini injury time match winner and needed that as i feel Valencia would have beaten United in the next round and knocked them out. Before that goal Young boys had the best chance of the game when De Gea made incredible save from deflected shot. Mourinho can kick the water bottles for all he likes but that yet another poor performance against a poor team is just more proof of how far they are regressing this season.

0-0 at home against arguably the worst team in the Champions league and the young boys keeper isn't that over worked either. Mourinho will likely sub off the players that are showing a bit of life in Rashford,Lingard,Fred and he will bring on Pogba,Lukaku,Mata.

Supposedly, there’s be more at a junior B training session than at our ones.
Maughan would be a bit old school with training and i can imagine a lot of the modern day footballers in Offaly wouldn't be too keen on that type of training.

People grow up and they take on real responsibilities.

At that point, sports is a distraction to be enjoyed. It's only natural that, in that context, you disassociate a bit when your team struggles.
100%.

It's entertainment.

Lap it up when your team wins a big game, and even more if they win a trophy. And jump on that bandwagon when your team is on a good streak. But life's far too short for getting depressed when your team of millionaires only draws 0-0 with Crystal Palace on a miserable weekend in November. Though no harm giving out about a manager or player, that's part of the fun/entertainment too!

Is supporting a sports team meant to be entertainment like say the likes of a concert or a movie is?  supporters from Ireland that go over to games meet up with friends have a few drinks and make it entertaining weekend however when they attend games I'm sure most support the team by clapping, singing or whatever than sitting quietly and waiting to be entertained.
Of course, part of the whole entertainment of attending soccer games is the clapping and singing, etc. Being part of the atmosphere.
Part of supporting the team when attending a game. Not much in way of entertainment watching United play nowadays but clapping might at least keep the hands warm.  A big part of the atmosphere is meant to drive on the home team while trying to intimidate the opposition.

Need to start off by saying the these experimental rules is going to make a mess of the league and such experiments should only be used in December,January challenges and the FBD,McKenna,O'Byrne cups.

They mentioned that on the radio earlier - these rules will make a mess of the league, how can a team train for one set of rules for the league and then revert back for the championship? The handpass one in particular

Yes very daft but those at the top in suits knows best and what does it matter what the players think  ::)

Will the FBD final be in a neutral venue? Or will it be played in Bekan?

FBD league matches have always been played home/away when counties play each other. Don’t now why you think that would change.

Because it's not a league system next year. The biannual Ballinlough/Ballyhaunis games won't be going ahead.

Yes an open draw format next year which will likely mean a neutral venue for the final.

The Connacht championship is an open draw ‘system’ too

Must have missed all those neutral venue Connacht matches

Home and away venues is set into the system for the Connacht championship. In this new FBD format teams that was drawn out first got home advantage.
