Just having a chat in work about David Brent from the Office, how he was one of the most cringworthy yet can't take your eyes off him characters in TV history.
What other great TV / Film characters come to your mind for any particular reason. Hero/Anti Hero/Villain/Comedic
Some come to my mind,
Benjamin Linus - Lost
Joffrey Baratheon - Game Of Thrones
Tony Montana - Scarface
Hannibal Lector - Silence of The Lambs
Rodger Kint - Usual Suspects
Tony Manero - Saturday Night Fever
Dr Evil - Austin Powers
Denzel Washington's Frank Lucas in American Gangster
Francis Begbie - Trainspotting
That was another one I thought was a great character.

Cracking character
Are you no talking to me because you're with a bird?
Great character in the first show - maybe a bit of a sad character in the second.
Mcmurphy/Nurse Ratched/Chief - One flew over the Cuckoos nest
Red Foreman - That 70's Show
Eastwood in a lot of his films played the anti hero very well
The Dirty Harry films
Man with no name westerns
Joesy Wells
He managed to have some cracking lines in films that maybe didn't have or need a lot of dialogue.

Gunnery Sergeant Hartman in Full Metal Jacket.
Lee Ermey wasn't even the actor hired to play that role. Kubrick brought him in as a technical advisor, as he'd actually been a Marine drill sergeant in real life. Apparently he improvised most of the dialogue himself, drawing from his own experiences.
One of the greatest, most memorable performances I've ever seen in a film.

Add Alonzo Harris in Training Day. The guys has charisma to spare so he is usually the best thing on the screen even in a bad movie. Nrico woukd marry him.
Ben Kingsley in Sexy Beast

Love that movie, what a pyschotic bad guy, the menace just dripping of him.
David Tenant seems to have a bit of penchant for playing the bad guys well, absolutely chilling as Denis Nilsen in Des. He was a great bad guy in Deadwater fell as well.

Which one was he? I always get the two mixed up
There's a tendency towards sinister character so far. Understandable I suppose: they tend to leave a longer impression.
I was rather taken by:
Prop Joe and Slim Charles in the Wire
Mike in Breaking Bad
Lalo in Better Call Saul
On the good guy side of things, characters you steal every scene and you want to root for:
Andy Dufresne
Oscar Schindler
Prot in KPax
Han Solo
T500 in T2

Javier Bardem in No Country for Old Men
The best movie baddie of all time IMO
Very few, if any, play creepy better than Bardem. This or Bond he was exceptionally creepy in. Him or Anthony Hopkins in Silence of the Lambs are probably the creepier people I have seen on any show.
That gas canister thing Bardem had in no country for old men would give you the heebie jeebies.
Kiefer Sutherland was a great baddie in Stand By Me.
Tim Robbins played a fairly creepy character in a lesser known but excellent show Arlington Road, worth a watch if you like thrillers.
Played a fairly creepy guy in war of the worlds too.
Henry Fonda played a great baddie in Once Upon a Time in the West.
Your boy who was general zod in superman man of steel in that film shape of water. He was one of the more detestable guys I remember in a film too.
