Old fashioned safety razor, and 100 blades (for a tenner), does for ages and as good a shave as any overpriced Gillette blades I've previously used ... saves a small fortune.

Moved to these over a year ago myself.  First few shaves cut the face off me but now that i'm used to it, they're certainly the way to go for a wet shave.

On a separate note, beard trimmers. Any recommendations for something decent at a reasonable price?

I use the Cornerstone stuff. It's grand. Shave every other day and box every 8 weeks or so does the job.
