It is around this time that we see TV personalities, newsreaders etc. wearing red poppies.  I have noticed people wearing Green Buttons/Badges recently.

Are these one and the same or what do these Green Buttons/Badges mean?

In the UK, the protection of animals has Royal approval (RSPCA) but the protection of children does not (NSPCC). Why is that?

What's the equivalent in the free state?
