*Just on the Christmas movies, I managed to watch some howlers, but special mention has to go to Candy cane lane.

I haven't watched Candy Cane Lane, but my 7 year old daughter must have watched it half a dozen times over christmas.

I've eventually got around to watching Wolf of Wallstreet.
For me, it didn't live up to the hype.
The excesses of Wallstreet were entertaining I suppose.

Worth a watch for Margot Robbie alone though!

Saltburn was very good, some of the scenes though were ridiculously over the top, we already knew he was a complete weirdo they didnt need to go the extra mile lol

Captain Obvious

First movie I've watched in 2024 was The Silence of the Lambs, a timeless classic.

On too late for me last night but definitely a re-watcher.

God14

First for me was Sisu

Really enjoyed it. A modern day version of Rambo First blood

Silence of the Lambs, Red Dragon or Manhunter never fail to disappoint.

Watched Crimson Tide the other night for first time in years. Still brilliant.

First 2/3 of Lambs is total perfection, ending was brilliant first time I seen it, less so since, but only because I've seen it a few times

I watched Fargo there recently while waiting for a new episode of the series. Excellent film.

Jell 0 Biafra

Watched Maggie Moore(s) on the plane back from Ireland yesterday.  Not bad.  Small town in which two women called Maggie Moore are found murdered.  Reminded me of Fargo and Pulp Fiction (though not as good as those).  The interactions between the two main cops are very funny.

Watched the first half of Killers of the flower moon. Underwhelmed to say the least. Does it get better in the 2nd half or more of the same? Hate not finishing a movie, but not sure I want to revisit.

Pretty consistent pace throughout. Average enough film that I was expecting more from given the hype and actors/director involved.

Cillian Murphy won best actor at the golden globes overnight for his role in Oppenheimer.
