Can someone explain to me how McClean won that award last night instead of Katie Taylor?

At least it wasn't Rangers to end the unbeaten record.

Man City on course for another win this evening, cutting through spurs at ease all game and could easily be 4 or 5-0 ahead by now. Dele Alli somehow avoided red for horrific tackle on De Bruyne.

Horan is taking over a good group of lads. Westport have a serious group of lads coming through at present. The bulk of their All Ireland Intermediate club side were under 25 and younger! They won the under 21 County championship with Pat Holmes this year and they have been winning county Minor/under16 titles and so on the last couple of years.

Horan (as you'd expect) is not joining a sinking ship. He has looked at this and sees an opportunity!
He did the same with Ballintubber which them gave him the opportunity to get into county management. He is probably planning long term with this gig now maybe eyeing up Galway seniors as another opportunity!

Rooney still picking up the awards.

Lots of new players training with Galway currently especially as the Corofin players will likely be missing for most it not all the league and there are a number of senior players who will also miss the league as they are recovering from injuries.

Called up are Sean Andy O'Ceallaigh (Leitir Mor), Peter Cooke (Moycullen), Sean Kelly (Moycullen), Ronan Boland (Michael Breathnach), Cein D'Arcy (Caherlistrane), John Maher (Salthil), Eoin Finnerty (Mountbellew-Moylough), Rob Finnerty (Salthill), Dessie Conneely (Moycullen), Ciaran Duggan (Annaghdown), Frankie Burke (Annaghdown), Evan Wynne (Salthill).

Called up from the past two minor teams are Sean Mulkerrin (Oileain Arann) and Evan Murphy (Salthill).

Back after missing 2017 due to injury are Patrick Sweeney (Killanin) and Adrian Varley (Cortoon Shamrocks).

Cillian McDaid (Monivea Abbey) has joined Carlton in the AFL.

The most stream of underage talent coming through in Galway since the 90s? and good number of those young players are already big physical and athletic units that should make the step up to senior level.

Mourinho said in post match conference that Baillys injury might be long term  :-\

Average performance on an average night.
Big loss if true the best defender United have IMO. As for tonight i suppose you could say a better result than last season when 10 man Bournemouth grabbed a draw in Old Trafford.

For some perspective Leicester City the year they won the league had 35 points after 16 games the same total as Man United right now. Man City have raised the bar this season from previous years, just 2 points dropped and the way they are going could break the Premier league points and goals total records.

Lukaku has been a serious waste of money for Utd

Ah I f**king hate these comments.

Here's how United play against the rest of the top 6. They absolutely isolate Lukaku and provide no service to his feet, no through balls for him to chase into, no support for his knockdowns,  and no crosses for him to attack.

I don't care how much they paid for him. Today and all the other top 6 matches are not on him. It's simply not possible to be a matchwinner in these circumstances.

Try, just try to be rational about what you're watching.

I'll disagree with the both of yis

Lukaku's not been useless BUT the difference between really really good players and the rest is that they'll score from that one chance that comes their way in a tight game and from memory in both the Liverpool game and today he's had the chance to be the hero and if he takes them no one remembers anything else...

A bit unlucky today though, an auld dribbly one off his shin would probably have gone in but he caught it absolutely flush  :o

I'm not suggesting he's Gerd Muller. But it's truly unfair on a striker completely starved of service to then escalate any half chance he gets, into a gimme.

It's like blaming a woman when she gets raped.

Bit of ridiculous comment to make.

Boycey is right, what makes the best forwards the best is that they'll score from that one chance that comes their way in a tight game. Anyway it was Lukakus poor defending on both goals that cost his side more.

City are on a different level, 4 - 1 wouldn't have looked out of place.

Mourinho doing his Comical Ali post match interview.
DeGea only pulled off a few decent saves today last Sunday he was more worked. Ederson double save late on also earned City their deserved win. Mourinho thinks United should have got a penalty it didn't look like a penalty to me but i have seen them given before.

Two poorly defended set piece goals is what won that game for City. Lukaku had a derby nightmare the sitter he missed summed up his day.
