The Feckin Metric system!! Why the hell is eveything written in cm's when the majoity of us still think in feet and inches.
Reading the dimensions of a child's bed in argos and they only list them in cm's. I haven't got a fu**in clue what length it is, have to go get the measuring tape.  >:(

All you need to remember is 3 foot is roughly 1m
Anyway, long story short... is a phrase whose origins are complicated and rambling.
