Was a club secretary for 6 years and had first dibs on a ticket. Never took up the option once. I could never justify, to myself, the cost of the day out (ticket, travel & food) to watch a match I had no real interest in.

I know everybody's saying that we eased off in the second-half on Saturday night against Fermanagh and this allowed Fermanagh to rack up a total of 18 points, but I don't see it that way. The way I see it is that the substitutions weakened the team and while the players kept trying we simply weren't strong enough to keep going at Fermanagh. The big problem as far as I could see was that from the time of the substitutions onwards, some of the subs didn't really perform and others started to carry the ball into tackles and lost it a good few times. I think if we are forced into substitutions early on on Sunday it will cost us big time.

Trying to find some stats online that might backup or rubbish what I'm saying above but can't find any.
I think Healy has impressed when he came on in the last two games.
Presume none of the U20s came on v Ferm? Could be more of a temptation this week. Although still probably couldnt do it if they win the semi.

Aaron ONeill and Jimmy Hyland were the two U20s that I saw. Neither played a part in the game. Fairest to leave them to the U20s I think.

Oh God! At that stage of the morning where the sense of optimism kicks in and says maybe just maybe this time will be different.

The sooner the GAA bring in a tiered championship to stop these type of contests the better. Pointless exercise today, Dublin will have had harder training sessions.

Don't know if a tiered championship structure has added much to hurling. Don't see the Christy Rng etc having much prestige within hurling generally. My experience of those who would consider themselves to be from serious hurling counties is that counties involved in the lower tier championships are by and large irrelevant in the wider hurling scheme of things.

FT in Navan.
Meath 3-15
Derry 0-08

Some turnaround. Was that by and large the same team that lined out against Kildare?

Galway 0-14 Cork 1-11

Galway lead for most of the 2nd half. Cork get three late points to lead by two. Galway score two injury time points to draw level. Cork then miss a free to win it. Draw game.

Were you at the game GBB -How did the Full back line do?
