BBC news confirms helicopter was enroute to this part of the world

Never beat the deeler

QuoteA spokeswoman for Norfolk Police said: "It's a civilian helicopter, and there were four occupants on board who are all thought to have died in the crash." The East of England Ambulance Service said: "Sadly, it is believed that four people in the helicopter are believed to have died in the crash. Ambulance resources have now been stood down from the scene. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of those who have lost their lives tonight."

Surely people shouldn't be commenting that people are "believed to have died" (talking about spokespersons for police and ambulance services in this instance)

RIP Tony, a socialist peer, somehow or other, always loved him on Question time.

Also heard Eddie Haughey of Norbrook died in that helicopter crash in Norfork, RIP.

RIP to both Tony  Benn and Eddie Haughey.  It is quite ironic that both these die  at the same time with both being the antithesis of each other...like AQMP Benn would be a hero of mine and he was a real proper old-style socialist, Haughey a real capitalist, Thatcher loving, power-loving bully yet someone who at the back of it all provided significantly for the local community in terms of employment and funding.  Both are big loses in their own right and both leave big legacies.

A Northern Ireland peer killed in an air crash in Norfolk, had raised concerns about a helicopter he owned, the BBC has learned.

Lord Ballyedmond was one of four people who died when the helicopter came down in a field in Norfolk on Thursday.

The Augusta Westland AW139 crashed near the 70-year-old's stately home in Gillingham, near Beccles.

Last year, the Conservative peer lodged a claim against the manufacturer of an Augusta Westland helicopter he owned.

He wanted a refund, claiming that it had a number of problems, including a hole in one of its blades, oil leaks and failures in the communication and navigation systems.

It has not been confirmed whether that helicopter was the one that crashed on Thursday.

A spokesman for Agusta Westland said the company could not comment on possible defects with Lord Ballyedmond's helicopter, but said it was making checks internally and would support the ongoing investigation in any possible way.
