Just looking to get a steer on kids football nets to stick up in the garden. Does anyone know of any good manufacturers and prices? Ideally a fairly durable set.

TIA

Dont buy plastic ones anyway

I got a metal set a few years ago with a net in Elverys for 100 euro I think, Its taken a far battering but still is fine.

If you want the proper job, there is a place between Armagh and Middletown that makes them.

Stick 2 long poles down. Put a bit of a mark on them somewhere half way. Manys an argument we had measuring where the ball went if it was around the height of the mark in between.  ;D

Anybody know where you can get football nets in Mid Ulstrr area?

For kids goals.

Used to be ad in Irish News for a lad up near Coalisland area. Maybe hasn't advertised in a while though.

Think that was Conlon Nets'. Google that for a contact number. Don't know if he/she are still operating

The Smyth's 10x6 metal posts are surprisingly durable - we've a few sets on the green outside that have taken a fair battering the last 3 years and are still standing.
One trick is to get rid of the metal 'point' posts they come with and stick on a piece of 40mm waste water pipe - the metal top posts are way too heavy and completely unbalance the posts - perfect with the piping though. For 90 euro, can't go wrong.

We've a set from O'Neill's. Decent enough. Not sure who makes them for them tho.
