Jaysis Milltown have ya read the whole background to it or are ya just commenting on the titbits in the media...

I'd have been uneasy with the witch-hunt on the people Rafiq named even before the revelation today but whether Rafiq)Vaughan/Bumble/Ballance or even the lad with the dog are racist doesn't excuse Yorkshire in any shape or form

Ah sure that makes the whole thing alright then..

It makes him look like a tit though. You think his advisors would have made sure his social media history was squeaky clean.

Yeah agreed it puts him on the spot.... Doesn't let Yorkshire off the hook for their conduct in any way though.

I'd say using the P word as you call it is common enough everywhere and the ethnic make up of Leeds/Bradford doesn't/shouldn't make the local cricket county team more likely to foster racism than say Lancashire/Durham or anywhere for that matter.

Are football clubs in the area thought to be racist also

I'm surprised to be honest and the scale and the sheer acceptance of it. If it was a 'cricket' problem would it be prevalent amongst the other counties/boards? Maybe it is, but I just think theyd be shouting it from the rooftops if it was?

Possibly some of yis won't know what we're talking about, heres a brief synopsis. Theres an avalanche of stuff online it you want to read more.

People against People is a great idea for a party in fairness  :)

While the football is easier on the eye Kennys problem will always be that football is a results orientated business. Further down the line the media and the general public will covet a scabby 1-0 win over performances. Have we enough tools at our disposal to play football AND win games

I could of bet money on laoislad turning it into a Man Utd thing  ;D

Nice touch by him at the end with the young Irish fan.

Gaacraic has a picture of it on their Instagram and in the dozen comments so far she's been slagged off and he's been called a paedo... What bes in peoples heads nowadays

Steady on now  :) I didn't say it was disgraceful either... Just a bit small time. It's not like he's some kind of bogeyman for us... Rare enough to get one of the greats on ur own wee patch

There's something desperately sad about people spending 90mins jeering someone for being quite a good footballer.....

Gubba was very much in the h'penny place behind Motty and Barry Davies at the BBC for the football but would always be wheeled out for random sports events that they didn't often cover. An Olympic Game stalwart  :)

Sinstadt covered the NW and worked for much of his career for Granada. He would be the soundtrack to a lot of people's Utd/Liverpool memories from the 70s/80s era. I used to love his very distinct voice.

In my memory all the commentators from that era were brilliant... No poxy co-commentators and feck all agenda just the simple facts of what was happening in the match

Ah credit where credit is due it's not just a few games this season is it? West Ham were there or there about all last season too finishing only a couple of points off Champions League. Moyes doing a great job there.

It's a wonder Utd aren't in for him.....
