You have to give credit where it's due to Cavan for taking that to extra time. Winning vs Monaghan then Tyrone then Donegal was always going to be a Herculean task.

That's the end of that Derry team. Too one dimensional.

Quote from: yellowcard on March 18, 2024, 12:02:29 PMWe mightn't necessarily have the best starting 15 but I'd say we have the best squad depth in the country at the minute.

I will never understand where this Armagh delusion comes from. You have accomplished nothing with these players and yet you actually believe this.

For as seriously as Monaghan seem to take this league, it's incredible that they have only ever won it once before back in the 80s. No Sams in that county either.

The Brigids lad who went down with cramp (in a 30 mins a side match) cost his team.

Stephen O'Brien's impact off the bench a game changer. Does he start the next day or come on at HT again?

Yes, he won them that game.

At the time you be raging Armagh get beat but when you have time to think about it I think most of Armagh ones forget the pool of players we have available to us and the size of our County. Armagh are one of the smallest Counties in Ireland which approx 50% kicks with the other foot and halve that again for females, if anything I believe we punch consistently above our weight.

How is this an excuse when you were beaten by Monaghan?

^ Beggan not the fastest off his line either. I felt like a couple of his poor kick outs in the final 10 minutes with the game in the balance also contributed to Monaghan's defeat.

Scully had some good seasons, but he hasn't  impressed  the last few years.

His mistakes are what ultimately lost the Mayo game in the 2021 semi final.
