Why are Inter County referees allowed to referee county training games? Are county referees that hard up that they need the money from these games?
Surely there are plenty of other referees who can do these in-house games?
It confers an unfair advantage on those counties who do this, as the referees become very familiar with the players in those panels and sub-consciously will treat them differently than other players and teams.
The GAA and Referees Committee need to clamp down on this
The penalty for an inter county referee who does this should be immediate demotion from the referees panel.
You wouldn't get the likes of Mark Clattenburg refereeing training games at Man City

Which counties are you referring to?
Just Dublin?
And on a point of order, you do see premier league refs visit and ref training games, especially when there is a new emphasis on something.
