Quote from: Shamrock Shore on March 16, 2024, 08:48:02 PMLongford v Carlow not one for a dvd collection. A win is a win.

Poor from Tipp. Second biggest county in Ireland had no pitch. All not well I hear with Tipp management on verge of quitting over perceived lack of support from County Board..

Surprised that Leitrim beat Laois but it will be academic if we beat Wexford next Sun. Laois will surely beat Waterford.

First time hearing this , I been to every Tipp game this year bar London and I know people on the Tipp Football Committee and the FoTF and have heard nothing . Do you have a source for this Info ?

Due to the weather there are no Pitches available in Tipp except for Fethard Town Park , an All Weather Field which Wexford would not agree to and from what I hear most Tipp Players did not want it there either . Semple Stadium was closed for all games a couple of weeks ago for a month !

Quote from: Armagh18 on March 03, 2024, 09:22:30 PMMadness. Always liked Tipp I think from they beat Galway that time in 2016 and they caught us in Armagh in the league game as well that either cost us promotion or relegated us one year which was sickening. Is Quinlivan still playing? Great player.

That was some day out , Quilivan Hat Trick , the winning goal with 6 seconds to go . Quinlivan living in Dundalk now , probably continue to Play with Commercials . If Mickey Harte was still Louth Manager would he be tempted ? Anyhow we have brought in a lot of young Players this year and lost a lot of quality , Kevin Fahey for example gone travelling . New Manager and 8-9 of our starters this year it`s their first year playing Senior . Still Sweeney, Russell and Steven O`Brien to return from injury so not all doom and gloom for The Premier ! As our Manager Paul Kelly said we were naive yesterday and should have won but the inexperience showed and not just yesterday . It`s a learning curve . So hopefully with the return of the 3 above mentioned we will give promotion a shot next year .

Quote from: Itchy on February 03, 2024, 03:01:16 PMVery poor result today. I saw 1st half, shouldve scored 3 or 4. Some players playing for their own goal and not the team in my view

Been this way for a while !

Two results

Laois 1-12 Longford 2-7
Tipperary 1-14 Carlow 3-10

Tough start for Tipperary , 5 chaps making their NFL League debut including the entire Half Back line . Tipp are going through a rebuild with alot of Young Players in the Panel . That said Mark Russell and Conor Sweeney are due back soon after serious injuries . Tipp played really well in stages on Saturday but poor defending cost us 3 goals .

Quote from: Horse Box on November 02, 2023, 11:52:38 AMTipperary have Paul Kelly , the former Naas and Thomas Davis Manager in on a 3 year term , he was involved with Wicklow and Oisin McConville last year . Former Baltinglass and Wicklow Player Hugh Kenny is Coach and Kelly has an impressive backroom Team including former Tipp Keeper Paul "Cracker" Fitzgerald !

Waterford footballers the last team to appoint a manager or did I miss their appointment?

Yup !

Peter Keane former Kerry Manager in the frame to be the next Tipperary Boss ! He has won the All-Ireland Junior Club Football Championship with his Club St Mary`s and 3 in a row All Ireland Minor with Kerry as Manager . Was Kerry Senior Manager between 2019 and 2021 , beaten by Dublin in the 2019 All Ireland Final . Involved with Killarney Legion this year where then went as far as the semi final of the Kerry Intermediate Championship .
Yet to be ratified by the Tipp County Board it will be an exciting appointment if it happens . Will have a decent amount of the successful Tipp Minor/Under 21 Teams from 2011 to 2015 to work with !

Hope to see a good crowd in Breffni today.

A shock is on the cards - I can feel it in me waters. Longford 11/2 for the win so I am off to put a few bob on us.

Or else I am beginning to get trouble 'down below'  :-\

There was a decent crowd at the Tipp game and no one from Tipp was there so if ye bring a few it might be a good atmosphere

::) !
