Hurling Discussion / Re: Derry Minor Hurlers

Derry will never be a dual county when you have people with a mindset like tonesfirstandlast, and this will not change until we have a county chairman that comes from a dual club who will be willing to help rather than rubbish hurling

I got it last week, £79 and that includes the installation. Check your local Euronics dealer, they are doing it for £79 all over the north as far as i know. The introduce a friend deal is good if you dont already have Sky, i was an existing customer, they offer you fcuk all when you are an existing customer.

Not if you threaten to leave them, they'll offer you anything to make you stay, just say your interested in upgrading to sky plus and you'll get it free.

Well Aerlik it has been up and running a few years now and the numbers attending are always increasing.  They have pupils from Dunloy, Coleraine, Dungiven and the more local areas.  There has been a big push for Irish up here with carntogher and the An Carn centre which includes Padraig O'Mianins (manager of the Derry camogie team that won the All ireland junior final on sunday) and his children.  Great to listen to the local chirdren speaking to each other in irish

I wouldn't want to be naming anyone but I'm sure if you have a look the next time there is training (maybe just hurling I'm not sure) but you'll know who it is right away (unless it has changed recently)

From the QF on I can guarantee that all games will be a hundred miles an hour from now on in. ALthough Ballinderry will still win it at a canter!

For this reason I hate the new system in Derry, all matches in c'ship should be played at this rate not just the QF's.  The atmosphere has been terrible this year whereas previous years it was first class.  Bring back the knock out system please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was it not said on the championship that St. Johns were beaten in the final? I heard this somewhere but i think it was there. I'll check again tonight.

St John's were beaten by Castletowngeoghagan from Westmeath 0-21 to 0-6

Paddy won his appeal last night so will be available for selection on sunday, although I wouldn't be surprised if he tells the county where to go!!!!!!!!!!

If we can keep this going, and maybe take a few of the boys back from the football squad

Lynchbhoy just curious as to who your referring to here?  Who would you bring in??

I agree with leamtaighabu, derry's forwards are very poor and depend far too much on big ruairi to take the scores.  There's bound to be better within the county!!!!

Mr Barry Cassidy was spotted in Kilrea of all places, last night posting a letter.  He left the car running (for a quick getaway) and kept looking round him as if someone was going to pop up behind him.  Wonder what he was posting  :P if it was his report it wont make the meeting tonight  :o
