All sounds a bit fake-newsy. As a parent of teenagers who who have long grown out of the kids section of the library I can't imagine a judge anywhere in the developed world jailing a librarian for doling out books to children except in egregious cases of sexual grooming.

When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

Cannibal pigs in Ballymena - be warned - there's some nasty images in the article

Not to defend the inexcusable in that piece but pigs are notorious for their cannibalism. It's fairly common for sows to consume their young as they're birthing them. Most sows are farrowed in crates that prevent them from doing it but left to their own devices some sows will consume a large portion of their litter.

Likewise adult pigs housed together have a ferocious blood lust. Even a small wound can very quickly be opened up to the gaping holes seen in that video. I've seen pigs lose half their face to the others in the group from quite small cuts to their face. Pigs teeth are all clipped at birth to try and prevent them developing a habit for wounding each other but it doesn't fully negate their nature.

Whatever about Pigs cannibalistic nature, as someone who farms, keeping animals alive in that condition and not euthanising them is way beyond what is acceptable. That farmer shouldn't be allowed to keep so much as a pet fish. Disgraceful.

You soon will have to go into work put earphones in, speak to no one  - not about kids in case you offend those with no kids, not about your partner to avoid hurting the self-partnered, not about TV or sport, avoid all eye contact in case you are accused of sexual harassment - wear a uniform in case anything about your person offends some snowflake, eat in the toilet in case you have meat that offends some vegan, oh and these will be communal toilets for the LGBTQ, park your car miles away in case someone is offended you are destroying the planet - how the fcuk did society get here.

Chat about football or cricket in the workplace should be curtailed, a management body has warned.

Ann Francke, head of the Chartered Management Institute, said sports chat can exclude women and lead to more laddish behaviour.

People need to tell people like Oprah Winfrey, feminists, snowflakes and Hollywood actors to go get fucked. Ordinary people are too easily controlled by these bell-ends, telling us we can't say this or do that.

Ricky Gervais was spot on at those awards. Accept your award and f**k off, and don't pontificate to us.

Would suit me down to the ground, I work with a woman who's went from no interest in sports to full on Liverpool-ite in two years.

On the other hand, you can't help but laugh at people who get their knickers in a twist and throw around the "snowflake" label when society finally starts to call them out on their casual sexist, homophobic and racist statements and views.

On the specifics of the article, the woman doesn't call for an outright ban on sports talk, at least according to the article. As a management consultant, I can see how she would advise companies of the value of being careful to avoid allowing team members to become excluded. In one instance it might be sports talk. In another, it might be a female-dominated team where something else dominates the conversation.

As opposed to individuals who go out of their way to be offended by everything in life!

J70

No doubt, there are some over-sensitive people out there.

But, which is worse?

That people have to mind their ps and qs, or that those who are women or minorities or not heterosexual have to suffer yet another casual put-down or expression of bigotry?

AFM

Such behaviour isn't confined to women or minorities, they just have the monopoly on the I am offended and HR having a panic attack, no one gives a flying one if a white hetrosexual male in the workplace is offended, probably let alone the white hetrosexual male to be fair.  My point is it is not about minding ps and qs its about guessing if r's or u's will cause offensive, society is shit scared to offend now especially in the workplace but many many people want to be offended so the cotton wool and tip toeing about is becoming insane.
