With Edwards back and Hughes coming in it looks like a strong support structure is there for the new manager. Edwards and Hughes know each other well so they should work well together. The new manager can concentrate on the coaching side, but also give his opinion and green light on target signings.  So although there are big shoes to fill, the new manager has every chance of succeeding, with the support in place and a strong squad and a brilliantly run academy system.
That's just, like your opinion man.

Apparently Edwards will also be involved in running whatever other football clubs FSG eventually adds to their portfolio. They're looking to expand like Red Bull or the City Group or Clearlake/Boehly.

Relieved that Arsenal won their game last night - that's two extra games.
The quarter-final will be played across two legs on April 9/10 and April 16/17.
Arsenal play Villa on the 13th April. That will be a intense week for them.

Villa are playing crap.. I wouldn't look to Arsenal as being contenders based on their run in, which looks the worst of the 3

Liverpool's biggest-margin win in Europe is an 11–0 victory over Strømsgodset in the 1974–75 European Cup Winners' Cup.  Currently 11-2 ahead.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Nice article by Andy Jones in The Athletic today on Conor Bradley's background with Aghyaran GAA and Finn Valley Athletics Club.

Atalanta in the QF. Winners go on to play Benfica/Marseille.

The Klopp/Alonso final is still in play

So, United away in the cup today.

Hope Liverpool are up for this. They were very flat when they went to OT for the league last year when everyone thought they'd batter United and ended up with a deserved loss.

Don't expect United to park the bus though like they did at Anfield, so should be a more open game.

I'd prefer the three points in next month's league game, but it obviously doesn't work that way! That said, I'd still be a win herd as bonus territory. Don't care how average United are, it usually doesn't matter in these games, especially away from home. It's all on the line here for United, so I expect a ferocious response from them.
