The season ticket has really been a farce this year. It really seems they could not be bothered with it and are looking people not so renew so they can scrap it. The standard price for the club+ option and the fact buying it meant you could get an All Ireland ticket without going to another match suggests that the only loyalty rewarded is the loyalty to money. This was reenforced by the ridiculous pricing for the first round of the qualifiers and the fact that children are being charged into these matches.

Would have to agree. Charging for the kids was a particular low

Not really relevant to soccer but in relation to WW2, state records show that Unionist Party tried and tried to get conscription brought in because of the poor recruitment rate in Northern Ireland throughout the war.  Afterwards when it appear that there were more volunteers from "Eire" than Northern Ireland so serious efforts were made to cover that up.  Robert Fisk reference these papers in "In time of War" book.

Of course if Ulster did as normal Provinces do - replay the following Saturday- Cavan/ Tyrone would have got 7/8 days and all 2A games would be played the same weekend.

Or maybe if they played the four quarters over a weekend and same for two semis then the championship could be run of over a few weeks and give clubs more time with there players.

The 6 game Connacht one goes from 1 May to 10 July - 11 weeks!!

Such BS from him around the fixtures as well, the Leinster Council had no problem bringing Kildare/Wexford forward a week, disrupting county and club plans to facilitate Corporate GAA and Bruce Springsteen. It was embarrassing watching him.  Neither Des had the balls to pull him up.
