Oh yes I forgot that
How long did he get?

If Brennan can get that forward line working with the 2 Bradleys and change their attitude as he seems to have don't with Paddy then I for one would not like to meet Derry again.
Mind you I was amazed how poor they were last year in Casement v Tyrone
No FIGHT in them at all

48 weeks reduced to 24 on appeal...
Just checked back - it happened on 28th August; 24 weeks is this saturday 12th February but i don't know if the 'close' season of November & December adds on 8 weeks??

What's the story with Skinner? Is he injured or huffed again?
Could Derry be dark horses this year with that Derry forward line looking a lot more balanced?

Suspended for ah... erm... ah... minor interference with a referee  :P
I'm sure he's due back very soon though.

Anyone see the bbc newsline last night about the male chind minder?

Fair play to him.  Don't see why anyone would have a problem with it.

Myles, as a Cavan man you must be outraged that Cavan didn't offer Derry a replay after the ulster final in '97:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2e2EV8vNDU

1.30: Wide given as a point.  I'm sure the No.12 knew it was wide, do you think he should have told referee or umpires?
2.55: Reilly double bounce before hitting a point, should he have told the referee it was a free out?
Both these players would've known that they "cheated"! Is that ulster final victory tainted?

Ballinascreen is the parish taking in Draperstown, Straw, Sixtowns & Moneyneana.

I would've been taught that in Irish, Ballinascreen is Baile na Scríne and Draperstown is Baile na Croise (i'm not saying that's right)

Screen is not the Parish Straw 6towns and Moneyneena are the parish's

C'mon now SDG i've lived in Draperstown, sorry Ballinascreen, long enough to know that 'Screen is the parish... gimme some credit!!

i have great admiration for someone like conor gormley

he's always developing as a player and willing to try new things even if they don't become popular - like bringing the headed clearance into gaelic football in 2004 i think...  ;)

my heart says tyrone but my head isn't sure. it is just too awful to imagine being beaten by derry. i was born and brought up there for god's sake!! we need to step up a bit though and need big sean, muggsy, stevie and all firing on all cylinders. big joe as sweeper could cut the supply into the bradleys though. fingers crossed!

Can i ask why you don't support derry then?  ;)  ???

If i was ever so unfortunate to have to move to tyrone there is nothing that would make me support them...  ;D

Did anyone see the Monaghan Full back - i think it was Mone - letting on to kick Paddy Bradley in the head while paddy was down injuried ?

I think he was signaling to the linesman that someone ;) stood on his back when he was on the ground... basically saying "did you not see the stamp linesman??"

No, I think some referees are cheats, plain and simple.
Was just debating about referees on the Cavan thread during the week.Have to agree with Pints, some referees are cheats, some are just bad and some are just blind. Some of the best ones can be the worst especially when they are not doing Inter-County games, they think they are above Club games and end up making a balls of them. They also talk down their noses to players and never talk or explain decisions, something that really irritates me.

Its in the rules that the referee has to explain the decision when asked.
But then again there isnt exactly a complaints procedure that has any integrity so they can get away with whatever they like.

Are you sure about that?  I think it would be a good idea but i don't think its in the rules.

The general response when a player asks "what the f*ck was that for?" is for the referee to move the ball forward  ;)

I had the same situation a while back, I pulled a sickie, Bad dose of the flu, I still give a present and that and the day before the wedding i made the call to tell them that i was in a bad way, and to be honest they are going to be that busy the day before, as soon as the phone is put down it will be forgotton.  ;)

Thats bad crack! At that stage the table plan will be done and meals will be paid for, better letting them know now i think.
