Not really any talking points.

Hughes turned up to referee and it was inevitable what would happen then.

Cathal McCarron (Very Harsh), Mark Jordan (Extremely Harsh), and Red O'Neill (Even Harsher) were the men lined. Bad day for football and for 58 minutes thats what both teams did. I would say the suspensions wont stick. There was at least two videos of the game and that will show up the stinker Hughes had.

He moved a lot of the moy frees in for dromore back chat but levelled that up with a horrendous call which gave dromore a two point lead with 10 remaining.

Great performance by the Moy who were trailing 5-2 at half time. To out score the reigning champions in their own backyard in the second half was a stirring thing. 5 out of 8 so far were many people have predicted us to be weak in terms of division one.

Eglish next week for the riverbank men. Special word on the Moy defence, played out of their skins and provided an excellent base for midfield and attack.

To be fair to Hughes there was definately a few punches thrown and someone had to go. Not sure if he got the right players, it was hard to tell.

There was plenty of drama and incident in Clonoe today for the meeting of the current County Senior champions and the 2008 Division Two league winners.  Philly Jordan scored a late equalising point for the Moy in a passionate encounter, although a draw was the least we deserved having come from five points down at one stage in the first half.  We had enough chances to win this game but, considering we were up against the O'Neill Cup holders in their own back yard, we will settle for a point!

Next up for the Moy....a meeting with Coalisland at Pairc Thír na nÓg on Easter Tuesday.
Draw prob fair result after that bit of a row sludden was not going to let it finish any other way. plus the main man who started the row got off scotfree.

The referee dealt with the main man who started the row. Thought the ref was pretty fair although he got some decisions wrong. The treatment of him by the Clonoe supporters at the end was a disgrace. Trying to stop a ref leaving the pitch and attempted intimidation has to be cut out in Tyrone football.
I do agree not all supporters where giving him grief some where trying to prevent him from getting abuse there are fools everywhere. Mr jordan started the row with him on a yellow should have went as well but considering the two cavanaghs and jordan told sludden what to do for most of the match he was never going to be sent off sure. County players perks  i suppose but as we agree a draw was a fair resilt.

Think we'll have to a agree to disagree here. Jordan played the ball up the field and was pulled down as he tried to run on and he was the one who left the pitch bursted after the game. I don't think Sludden treated the county players any differently. There were times he gave them free's and others he didn't. There constant involvement in the game is going to lead to them winning a number of free's. I think its the club fans who treat the county players differently. They have it in their head that refs are doing them favours. Also the county players are constantly targeted and when they react at all the fans want them sent off. Getting back to the game, it was entertaining and very competitive.
Thw hardest hitting game i have seen in years looked when we went in front near end we could may be just hang on ryan mellon was brilliant for yous we really laboured to get any kind of decent attacks for long periods of the game. Also some crowd at it.

Huge intensity for the 1st round of the league. Both teams were very fit.

Does anybody else think Hughes views in the Tyrone times should be scrapped? The man is making money out of printing gossip and taking cheap shots at referees/county players etc who haven't got such a public forum to defend themselves in. His column is used purely as a divisive weapon and contributes nothing to the local GAA in Tyrone. I wouldn't be surprised if apart from contributing nothing himself he was putting of referees from continuing with their jobs.

He doesn't even check his facts before printing them and if such a reporter existed in England and was printing such rumours about English premiership players he'd be facing hefty legal fees. Today for example he asked the question was Mulligan sent off for verbal and physical abuse of a referee. It was obvious from the article that he'd picked it up from here without even bothering to check its accuracy. He was very quick to blacken the name of the player who has contributed much to the GAA scene in Tyrone without even researching it. Apart from that he also said Ryan Mellon was sent off during the Moy game last week versus Pomeroy and talked of a melee, neither of which was true. He has been taking digs at Dooher getting off with suspension, again based on internet rumours and without knowing what happened.

It's hard to believe Hughes as one of the main GAA reporters in the Times doesn't attend any games. He was complaining only last week of the possibility of having to watch the Tyrone championship game on a snowy picture if it wasn't on the BBC. He has aimed endless sly digs towards Mickey Harte who contributes a huge amount of time to GAA in Tyrone free of charge compared to Hughes who cant even be bothered going to watch the county team or his local club play. And god forbid don't ask him to buy a ticket for your local club. He comes across most weeks as a shit stirrer out to cause rows in the county. Is it any wonder the county squad don't want to be associated with the Times any more.
