First he's a peado now he's a racist. Stay away ITOB.

Sky blue...you are well out of order there. Could someone not take you to court for making such accusations.

To answer your question to me.....no I would not approve of my children wearing such clothing but I can laugh at a picture when I see it whilst at the same time feel sorry for any child that had a parent who would put this on him or her. Obviously there are many people that do

Does this make them all peados?....I very much doubt it. I think its time for you Sky Blue to start retracting some of your comments

Get off my high horse? What sort of pervert thinks child porn is OK on a GAA Discussion Board? Unbelievable!! That ITOB should be reported to the Garda! Does that childs mother know he took that photo and posted it here?

Well that is just over the top. You might be offended by the picture and have every right to say so....but to label someone who isn't offended by it a pervert is perverse in itself. You should be ashamed of making such statements :-[

GAA Discussion / Re: club v club?

The whole UCD situation seems farcical from my perspective up here in Antrim. Could someone detail the history of how they got involved in club championships?

In North Antrim it would be the Ballymena Chronicle (part of the mid ulster newspaper group thingy me jigger)

Worst would be the ballymoney times & ballymena guardian....they devote more to pigeon racing, angling and the darts & pools leagues than they do to GAA...for the life of me I cannot understand why people buy them...but they do

The county board did not even ask us to play the game. That's what I've been told.

As I've said...someone is lying

Regarding the Dunloy problem. The county board have refused Naomh Gall the game.

Well somebody is lying milltown because I have it on good authority that St Gall were asked twice if they would play the match

have new league structures been proposed/ agreed and if so what are they?
If its being muted in the halls of power then what can milltown do but complain if they are being kept in the dark about potential changes while other opposition (because of their links) are fully aware of them. This is an unfair advantage

I think its a bit off the mark to complain about the opposition trying in a league match by the way.
So I'm assuming by that scb, that you don't understand the concept of playing league hurling and playing championship hurling and the reasons why the two games are different (although in theory they shouldn't be ....but they just are). If Ballycastle knew they had to beat StGalls to survive in Div 1, this would have given them a championship flavour to the game which St Gall couldn't have had due to the fact that they thought them and everyone else was just playing out the league just to get the match stats up before the County AGM to make things look better for "Antrim Hurling" at a High Level (Croke Park will be praising them for getting all their fixtures completed  :()....I digress ....anyway would you agree that St Gall were at a disadvantage

Feels a bit weird defending St Galls at the minute considering the minor football debarcle. There is nobody blameless in this disaster and Dunloy have to take a large chunk of that for creating the problem, but the fact St Galls turned down the opertunity to give both both sets of players their big day is sickening. Ask a Lamh Dearg player how he feels about the championship he won the year Cargin/StPauls got bucked out? There are no winners here

Hurling Discussion / Re: Mattie Murphy gets fired..
November 15, 2006, 01:17:17 PM
Pity really as Mattie is great with the underage coaching but he's rubbed a lot of people up the wrong way in his time.

Mabye the rest of us are too nice or too soft to handle reality being thrown at us? The players could have done their upmost to prove him wrong could they not? If they were the right sort of player(s) it would have put a bit of fire in their bellies...you know ...."I'll prove that (unt wrong".
Players do need to be questioned from time to time...

Uladh

Any word of you having an opinion on the main thrust of this thread?
#5951
I agree....on this issue....he is straight to the point...it doesn't need to be "made" complicated

Generally speaking the individualistic attitude of GAA players at County level is becoming sickening.  My respect for them is lowering every year. Am I the only one who senses that GPA is now working silently towards their objective. If that day arrives, then that will be the day I stop doing my bit for the love of the game. The more people that stand up against the GPA and their pay for play objective the better. Make your voice heard!!!!

Surely the pressure for the Antrim champs to retain the Ulster Club is still there isn't it? :)
