Eddie Keher is the new face of Mens Illustrated in the Irish market. The news broke at a reception in Langtons, the venue where Henry Shefflin first met Mrs Shefflin before being introduced to her adoring father, who always wanted a Kilkenny hurler in the family.

But back to Eddie. Mens Health Chief Marketing Officer Randy McBrandy flew over from the States for the gig.

Keher looks distinctly uncomfortable for a minute there but he gets going on the theme of manliness. And taking your belts for the sake of manliness. Losing teeth. And never ever questioning the referee. That is Cody's job.

He doesn't eat pasta, he says . Never did.  Always a spuds man. And no six packs.  Pints all the way.

But he gets really  worked up about the use of cards and how they humiliate men in front of their wives which goes against everything that Mens Illustrated stands for . It is very hard to buy her lingerie after you get sent off in Croke Park, according to Eddie.  And they were a soccer invention, a pansy development. 

Randy asks Eddie if he could arrange a meeting with Mr Cody to see if he can buy the Kilkenny franchise . And who is this Morrissey guy with the weird hair?
