I think the massive issue with Kildare and Meath especially is that we are really failing the talented players making the step up from underage.

Like Kildare have won U20 titles in 2018, were finalists in 2022 and won it again in 2023. The issue is that these lads are thrown into a shitshow and are not let bulk and train to be really ready to make a difference.

Dublin only need 1 or 2 lads and they sit down in a dressing room with the likes of Fenton and Kilkenny to guide them. Plus, all the other supports.

Meath were very direct and have some great hard-running young lads. Fully deserved the win.

Only got to watch it last night. I am fully aware of how things were, but when you see it laid out in front of you it still shocks you.

They are an amazing family with no hate in them. It's justice pure and simple they want. It's very unfortuntae that the current shower are in Westminster so long as whatever hope for something being done will be stopped by them.

I had hopes that GAAGo might encourage/force RTE to up its game.

However given the fact that GAAgo is essentially run by RTE, it's clear that there's little to no chance of this happening.

I think the GAA have given RTE far too much leeway over the years and basically put up with whatever RTE was willing to do. The RTE sports department gets way more out of the GAA that what the GAA get out of RTE. 

Across the board it's a lot of the same people who are hired in to actually run the shows. But I would argue that GAAGo with Grainne, Paddy and Tomás and Des Curran on comms is a better product and they don't fuckin run Gaelic Football into the ground and say it's shite at every opportunity.

RTÉ own the rights to so much sport but now they are skint and can't really staff it properly and do it justice. People were up in arms over Sky, but that was a good show they put on.

A good few years ago the place I worled shit suddenly so signed on for the first time locally. In the office this woman may as well have been working there as she informed everyone of all the benefits.

Another person she knew wandered over to the job bank machine, and asked her how to use it - no clue! Kinda summed it up.

I know there are people who need it and there are plenty who need a lot of support to get back to work, but there are plenty who just aren't arsed and laugh at people heading to work.

The mad thing is in some cases they make it very hard for people who want to get going again and they are better off just going full dole merchant.

In fairness it's nothing new and not down to the split season. There were times when the likes of Wicklow would get 90 seconds of a report with errors.

There needs to be an online show where the panel chat on subjects/ issues. Throw it up on YouTube and leave the Sunday Game to the actual games.

The likes of Dessie seems to be gone, but his female version Cora needs the boot too! Their GAA Podcast is good with Jacqui and they have good contributors too. That could be jazzed up a bit to make it a full production even.

But like Paul Flynn, Gooch and Cavanagh are just not good enough. As I said GAAGo when it gives the full treatment to the game is better now.

They want to drum up talking points that all the various pods and radio shows have flogged all week, but they are the only ones with the fuckin matches to show.

Just play the clips and give some extended highlights online somewhere else if needs be. I see GAAGo has a Cork Munster hurling game so I look forward to Donal Óg's rant already...

GAAGo have a YouTube show and seemingly the Dean Rock analysis is good too. In fairness I gave out in the past re GAAGo but their matchday stuff is much improved. Grainne McElwain is top class in fairness and the pundits seem more relaxed.

There should be a Player show dropping on a Mondayy with talking points like Seo Spoirt used to do on TG4.

Mayo defence excellent. Roscommon not offering any goal threat.

Roscommon had at least three or four goal chances today and wasted them all, needed at least one to have brought that game to the wire.

I know there is a GPA scam thread but this is something different in fairness.

They are talking about all the pressures 3rd level players face and how it stops them with work and puts them under the kosh for study...

Now, one thing jumped out - 62% say county managers cause most pressure during college.

But, when you hear the GPA talking on this and since the beginning they will have a go at the Croke Park dinosaurs and all the admin lads, but rarely have a go at the biggest issue in GAA - highly paid county managers.

Jarlath Burns isn't ringing lads around the country to get them up at 6am for pre-work sessions! I'd argue that the split season has more to do with county managers than anything.

In Kildare Geezer got the boot from the clubs because he would never release players. There would be lads rotting on a bench and they still wouldn't be let go to play a match.

It really bothers me that they won't square the blame on the people who demand the most of the players, while also helping themselves to a fair few quid. It's all a big dance around it.

I can honestly say that Kildare people give out about Dublin getting money, but many will admit that we wouldn't spend it well even if theyt threw millions at us.

Like all the money kicking around in 98-2000 and we had the absoilute worst grounds in the country. We did build a centre of excellence eventually.

Then we see that Conleths is finally getting done up, but there are images where some seats will have near zero visibility of the pitch! I hope that's wrong...

Also Kildare chat highlights the lack of quality pundits. They know some names like Dan Flynn and then say we have good players, but iof they watched any of our games you'd know he has been unfit for 2 years and playing poorly.

Like Louth are no great shakes and Ger Brennan was a bad club manager in Kildare, so the Dubs being what they are does not excuse us losing to them.

Liverpool are done. Klopp is a Fergie type whose personality papered over cracks. Salah will go to Saudi or USA. A lot of their team has serious miles in the legs.

City can only buy so many lads, and if KDB is getting injured more often. They also buy a lot of similar players bar Haaland.

If Arsenal buy a striker and don't run Saka into the ground they have a young central defence and midfield who will grow.

This season is there ANY hope that City could wobble. That was a fairly draining Champions League defeat...

I think they are just not used to teams folding when they ramp it up. Barca were like that on some of their worst Euro nights too. If a team didn't fall asunder Messi would be standing on the wing and the rest of them would be rolling around.

I know it's easy to say the best team lost but the concentration levels from Madrid were amazing. And then when it was needed they had lads like Nacho and especially Rudiger jumping in.

City tried to pull them around but it's not like Palace and their low block, these boys were not for turning. Also in the extra time Real did fire a few warning shots to keep City honest.

€30 adult stand ticket for the Leinster semi-finals. Now in the past you could saw 2 games is decent for that price BUT in the last decade the product in Leinster is dung.

I can't understand why they don't drop the price for provincials at least. Even the rugby lads are redicing tickets for the Croke Park match...

There is a lot of back and forth re Dublin who I think we should all admit would dominate any province. They are dominating the All-Ireland long enough so it's fair to say their depth would manage Ulster too.

But, that doesn't excuse Kildare and Meath especially. They should be up and around Div 1 or solid Div 2. I know lads are saying when we are waiting to be hammered in Leinster it breeds a bad vibe, but the league is something different and Kildare were annihilated by Cork and Derry last year. That is not excuseable.

There will be a reset and some fresh blood on the pitch and on the line next year, but the Dubs are going nowhere!

Yeah like they only had a few months running the shite out of them and playing challenge games...but God forbid players would be expected to play games!!!

The whole rest issue is never managed properly by the GAA managers. Like I know soccer is pro, but the top teams play twice a week with massive table topping games and then European nights too.

These lads are getting grants and are talked of as eilte athletes.

I'm happier as a Kildare man playing Wicklow. I think we will lift it a bit, but there will be some tankings later in the summer...
