Professional soccer and rugby 4 week pre season
A professional soccer season runs from August to May.
That leaves them with about 6 weeks of inactivity.
Thats for those who don't play in a summer Euros or World Cup.
Why do we love to exaggerate stuff.
A senior club in Tyrone seasons ended in late September 2022 and started training on the pitch together in March 2023. Thats a 5 month break.
Its a fair bit more than the 6 weeks professional soccer players get

What kind of pre season do Professional sports have?

Shorter than Internediate and Junior GAA clubs in rural Tyrone.

Go figure.
Is this correct ?
How many weeks a year do amateur running club athletes train.
How many hours a week would an amateur triathlon athlete train.

Do club GAA athletes actually spend more time training than any other serious amateur athlete.

Maybe they do, I'm just asking the question

One positive is that Ruairi Canavan can concentrate on the Seniors now.
Good job that you put the whole thing into context

Not sure what you mean? but I don't think it's the worst result in the world for Tyrone Seniors this year that the U-20's have been knocked out early.
I think it would have been a good result tonight if the u20s had won.
I dont think that Ruairi Canavan at 19 will be the difference for Tyrone seniors this year.
He is potentially a star but he has a fair bit of learning ahead of him before he fulfils that potential

Replay is the only sensible option ... if it was a 10 point drubbing then this is a non-story ... but it's a 2 point defeat with one team defending their goal with an illegal 16th man on the goal line.  No brainer, has to be a reply.

Replay the last minute of the game is the only fair and just option. 15 v 15 for 60 seconds with Crokes 2 points up. Either that or a big fine for Crokes.
I agree, replay the last minute.

Hold on a minute here, All you guys wanted Dooher and Logie in, couldn't wait to get Mickey out. It looks an unhappy camp, tonight was clueless. It just shows that Tyrone would have won the all Ireland 2021 with Mickey at the helm.  It was essentially his team.
From 2009 to 2020, Tyrone won zero all irelands

Lee Keegan was a great player and a fantastic defender in a Mayo side he stood out as he actually had a bit of heart as opposed to the majority of Mayo footballers. I wish him a happy retirement from Intercounty football.

The best ever? Without a doubt. Forget Tomas O'Se, Jack McCaffrey, Philip Jordan, James McCarthy, Kieran McGeeney or even Seamus Moynihan (I know wayyyy back) Keegan is unrivalled. The greatest. He stands alone. He has no equals.

The GOAT.
. He could stand in that pack of names no problem and wouldn't look out of place. So why the big hissy fit ffs?

Keegan is at the same level as those mentioned  imo.

Sure isn't it all about opinions

It'll prob take a year or two to come out, but fairly amateurush set up is what I am hearing time & again. Won Sam and earned huge credit, by making some genuine excellent tweaks to an existing set up.
I have little faith in current management arrangement to be honest. Some really underwhelming reports

Joint managers... Really?

Only one manager in reality is what I've heard.

If one of the two is more dominant than the other, is that an issue ?

People love to get annoyed about sh#t

No one complained when they won the All Ireland
