Good final
Wright 3-2 up

Now 5-3 up

Wright looking mentally tough, hope he does it.

What a performance from Snakebite, blew MVG away there's no two ways about it

yellowcard

Brilliant performance by Wright when it counted. Nearly man of darts finally gets his just reward and MVG actually put in his best display of the tournament and still got beat by 4 sets which just shows how well Wright performed.

Hound

Delighted for Wright. Well deserved!

Pity about the BDO news. The letter to the players about the reduction in prize money has been leaked and it shows how shambolic an organization they are. Actually admits their brand name is 'toxic' on social media so they've been unable to get a sponsor!

Tony Baloney

BDO look like it hasn't got much of a future. Seems like they have only sold 15% of the available tickets for the O2.

Hound

Great win for Duleek youngster Keane Barry winning the youth world title in comprehensive fashion, averaging over 90. Gave a really good interview afterwards too.

Hound

Enjoyable BDO final with Wayne Warren deservedly coming out on top of the all Welsh final.
They seemed like two gents and it was a flashback to the old days when it showed them practising together during the mid session interval, with Warren polishing off a pint!
94 average or thereabouts and a very good standard final (albeit there was some dross during the tournament).

Mad thing is the prizemoney still hasn't been announced. For both 2018 and 2019 it was:

Winner   £100.000
Runner up   £35.000
Semi final   £15.000
Quarter final   £6.500
Last 16   £4.500
Last 32   £3.250
Last 40   £2.000

This year it is definitely reduced, but no confirmation how much. Apparently a leading Dutch darts website said they had been leaked the proposed prizemoney, but hard to be believe it was reduce that much:

Winner £23.000
Runner-up £10.000
Semi final £5.000
Quarterfinal £4.000
Last 16 £3.000

Runner-up Jim Williams has confirmed he'll be trying to join the PDC circuit via the Q school next week. Keane Barry will also be attempting to qualify

Anyone watching the darts, 66 year old Paul Lim came from 2 sets down to win 3-2, its open this year as to who will win, a wee wager on the ever popular Gerwin Price

Boycey

Don't think I'd even watch the final if it was Price Vs Wright  ;D

Helix.

Wouldn't be a darts person but watched it there. Seemed to be an age they were both on the double in the last set. Oldest winner and first person to have a 9 darter. Some going for 66 years of age!

Van Gerwen is in big trouble

3-1 down to Joe Cullen in a race to 4

bennydorano
