The match report mysteriously disappeared as well once legal proceedings were instigated !!

I well remember having my shoulder dislocated in a match & having to drive myself to hospital - that was a load of fun.

Medical standards @ club games - non-existent in my experience.

selection procedure - put your name forward to your Referees' Committee.......they'll be glad to have you.

how are you treated? let's be honest.......that's the major drawback of the job........make sure you have a thick skin.

allocation of matches........usually the Referees' Committee will allocate you a match, although the powers that be will select referees for important championship matches.

how often.......7 nights a week & frequently 2 matches in a day if you'll let them away with it. my record for a championship match was 50 minutes notice !!

other than that, good luck, it can be extremely trying @ times (no point denying it), but it has its rewards.

Be a better idea to try to improve playing standards & improve behaviour on the field before you even attempt to take a pot at referees
