Hi all

I am currently looking to get myself a digital camera. My budget is £150-£200.

What does everyone recommend and why?

Also want it shortly as I am flying out for a holiday on the 16th July and would love to have it for the Ulster Final.

Thanks for all your help in advance.

You must be planning on a few pics of greencastle in the intermediate championship ??

Check this out before you part with the cash Ziggy:

And, I reckon, if you have the choice, go for a camera with a CMOS sensor, as opposed to a CCD sensor -- much less power-hungry. Don't be swayed by pixel count alone, sometimes the higher counts are, paradoxically, at the expense of picture quality, i.e., an increase in the 'noise' on the pic (graininess).
Carlsberg don't do Gombeenocracies, but by jaysus if they did...

Thanks all. Plenty of reading material there :)

A lot of people have said that the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T10 is the best model for me to go for and this site gives it to me for the best deal.

Thanks KM.

Any of the Canon IXUS models are highly recommended - very simple to use, have good video functionality and the 6.0 or 7.0 models should be well within your budget and are more than enough for everyone bar the pro.

Lorcs

Can anyone give any advice / recommend a decent, fairly-proced digital Reflex camera?

Thanks,

Kerry Mike

I got the Sony DSC 600 last year.

It's really quite good for the price:

Jaysus thats an awful ugly thing Zig,
Did you look at the Cannon Power shot model # SD500., tis a fine job altogether.
Though to be honest, they're not worth a shite for football matches or the like because of the limited zoom,
They're more of a typical household type camera.
