Why wouldn't Tommy Tiernan be in it!? It's prime exposure for him.
It's starting to grow on me more and more. Growing up in that era there is a lot of nostalgia. Hate the English fella in it, his character doesn't really fit in with a bunch of working class majellas

I think that's kind of the point of him though?!

They could give him more funny lines though... he doesnt say much and what he says is usually serious

I don't think it works well, the actor playing him isn't great either! Would have preferred a rougher character or at least one that gives back some of the abuse thrown at him

An opportunity for Tony perhaps?
If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B

I wrongly assumed that was Mary Black! Possibly was Eleanor McEvoy. Did she write that song?

I think the english fella is a very good running joke in it.

Disappointed clive didn't make an appearance at the end this week - thought they coyld have made a joke out of him escaping.

As far as I remember, she did & then they built a tour of female artistes around it? Talking a fair number of years ago now.

Woman's Heart Tour, which I remember being dragged along to in Armagh way back in the early 90s.

I see in the paper today one of the Derry Girls is claiming she was propositioned by a sleazy Director a few years ago.Suppose she'll be shouting Aye,Me Too!
